About this creation
Surreal #1

***

My first try at Surrealism, this vignette is also the first to use pieces from my latest PaB haul, including 71 1x2 violet plates, and 335 trans red diamonds. This is another attempt at landscaping with wedge plates, my last one being Tracks of the Black Lotus 2, and I think I improved tremendously.

Hope you liked it!

Quoting Kai Bernstein Really liking the colors and shaping; the black layering is quite nice! That one square sticking out into the river is pretty ānnoying, though. :P
Thanks! And I see what you mean by that black square.

Quoting Stephan N This reminds me of a scene from an old PC game called "Master of Magic" Das erinnert mich an eine Landschaft aus einem alten PC spiel mit dem Namen "Master of Magic"

Quoting Stephen Boe Really? Noice!
Yup! I also took some inspiration from Elliot Feldmann's last MELO entry for the tree.

Quoting Stephen Boe Very interesting concept! I must try something surreal sometime, after I find out the definition of course. Those lavender plates are one of the best PaB items IMO.
As far as I can tell, your cubist hellscape is about as surreal as this. The inspiration for this actually came partly from cubist hellscape. So thanks! :D

Quoting sam the first A beautiful MOC, lovely rock work.
Thanks! Because of the black color, you can't actually be sure whether it is rocks or just landscape, I just realized... But that is some of the mystery of it. :D

Quoting Gerald F. This is very nice. I like the colors you used in the build to represent a surrealistic environment. Well done and Keep On Brickin'!

Quoting Mister Lego ~ Very interesting. I love the color palette!
Thanks! There is not really much you can do with that violet color except surrealist stuff, so it was a good fit.
