I seriously love this build. Especially the walls. :3 It's a lot better than my previously plain MOC. :P Btw, the REAL story starts here. READ.
About this creation

Amira's monitor emitted a disapproving beep. "I'm sorry, sir. But your stock card expired two months ago."

The man slammed his hands on the counter. "That's—that's impossible! I renewed it three days ago!"
Amira held up the slip of plastic. "The system doesn't lie. You'll have to come back another time to renew it."

The man swiped his card from her hand and stormed off, muttering something unpleasant about banking systems.

"Welcome to Imperial Bank." Amira beamed her usual employee beam. "May I see your stock card?"

The next man in line gave her a sly smile. "Oh, I'm not here for a bank account. I'm here for you, Amira Solis."
Her stomach churned, but she kept her cheerful expression. "I don't understand—"
"I know who you are . . . vigilante."

Her smile disappeared and she lowered her voice. "The police can't do all the work themselves."
The man leaned forward, eyes glistening. "You and I both know that's not why you're doing this. We need to talk. Now."
"My lunch break doesn't start till—"
"It'll only take a few minutes." He interjected.
His tone made it clear that he wasn't taking no for an answer.

"Bart, cover my shift." She called to her co-worker. "I'll be right back."

Once they were out of earshot, her voice turned cold. "What do you want?" She growled.
"It's not what I want, it's what we want. I'm an agent for an orginization of spies. Vance Keller. And we need you, Amira Solis, to join us." He offered.

She nearly laughed out loud. Spies? She wasn't a spy, she was a normal person with a normal life. Sort of. Well, normal or not, she preferred to take out criminals on her own. Outside the law and any other supervisers.
"I don't do orginizations." Amira spat.

As she turned to leave, Vance caught her arm. "Wait," He urged. "It's more than just an orginization. We have each other's backs. There are no secrets kept from each other. We're like . . . family."

Amira stopped in her tracks.
Family. . . .
That word meant so much to her. And yet it was so empty. It was the reason she was who she was. And it was the story of her life's work. Why she wanted to elimate every criminal there was to find.
She'd nearly forgotten what it was like to have a family after that incident so many years ago. Maybe . . . maybe this was what she needed. Maybe this could help her somehow.
"I—I'll think about it." Amira murmured. As soon as she'd said it, she knew the answer was yes.
Vance seemed to know this as well. "We'll find you when you're ready." He informed. "Welcome to the Spies, Amira."

As she headed back to her desk, her heart was racing faster than ever. Because she wasn't sure if her life had changed for the better . . . or worse.

Bonus pics.

A shot without the curvy wall.

The left wall. The slopes give it a very sci-fi feel, don't they? :P

The other wall. I really like this technique. It looks so . . . fascinating.

And the floor. Which I also like. :3

Last is the curved wall. Which is definitely my favorite. The mix of grey and dark grey is absolutely perfect for the twist. It was the first thing I built for this, and I ended up thinking it wouldn't look right with the rest of the build. But it seems pretty good to me now. :P

Probably my best sci-fi scene yet. I really can't wait to continue the story. More to come soon! And thanks for reading!

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head Pretty cool...great build (but wouldn't people trip over those raised circular tiles on the floor?).
Well, it's a bank. People go there every day. I'm sure they get used to it. :P

Oops. Thanks for the catch. ;P

Quoting J D Do you want to do a crossover, if you read my latest Insurgecy MOC I think you will know why. One of my characters gets captured by the GI in a shipping yard. I think they both are going to get captured and I know your character helps the police catch people.
Well, sure. I think we can figure something out.

Quoting Armon Russ How . . . did I . . . write . . . Kyle. . . . >.> Sorry Kai. I really should be the one to know better because 99.9% of people pronounce my name wrong when they read it. :P Well, you won't be seeing that mistake again. Really sorry.
Hehe, that's fine. :P (How IS your name pronounced, then?)
Well, most people pronounce it Ar-MAWN, when it's really Ar-MUHN. :P

Yeah, I know, I just don't really much care for that description. And anyway, there's lots of ways to do greebles that aren't messy.

Quoting Mr. Cab Hmm... I have to agree partly with halhi: this build looks rather more modern that sci-fi, and the 45 degree slopes in the wall don't really work too well. However, the story is really nice, and the floor is a nice detail. The round wall adds a special kind of bank-ish feel to the build, and your photography makes the colors match a lot better than they might in real life. Overall, you did a really nice job!
Yes, thank you. You're right, it looks more modern than sci-fi. Definitely NOT medieval. At all. But the reason for that is trying to keep the clean and sleek look of GI builds. And I really am happy about my photography as well. Again, thanks!

Quoting Halhi 141 I think I agree with Kai and Alex; the problem with the wall that Kai mentioned is the use of the 45 degree inverted slopes, which almost never look good. And the other wall looks too medieval-ish, maybe if you invented a new round wall technique it could be better. Other than that my main issue is the lack of greebling, which is IMO what separates a sci-fi build from a modern build. Still pretty good though, especially the floor.
Yeah, I'm not seeing the medieval likeness . . . WAIT . . . no. I agree that the walls don't look right, and that's only because of the lighting. And if you've read up in the GI thread . . . "The style for most Galactic Republic buildings, vehicles, and equipment are clean and sleek. Very futuristic and smooth, without much messy greebling." So that's why the no greebles if you're wondering.

Quoting Armon Russ Thanks Kyle. I know, things have been a bit slow storywise. But that's why I like this MOC. It gives a twist in plot and unveils a new future for Amira. ;P And about the slopes in the back. They look much better without direct light from above. The shadows of the bricks fall on the others, making them look weird. >.>
"Kyle"? :P Yeah, the lighting can sometimes have that effect on the ever-reflective brick. However, I think for the sake of consistency either the wall to the side should have sported the design on the back, or the wall on the back had the design of the side. :P

Quoting Kai Bernstein The story is very engaging, both in the way it's written and the plot itself! I was frankly a little disappointed with the last two, so I'm glad to see things are picking up. :P The build is quite nice - I like the floor and the curved wall - but i don't think the slopes in the back wall look so good...I'm not sure what it is about them. I think the tall slopes would look better there. Overall, though, very nice! :P

Quoting Matt W. Dear Armon, I am terribly srry, but we invited quite a few people who had not yet responded, and in reality, they were ahead of you. One of them has just decided to join, and now you kinda need a new group....so srry....I know your great builder, but I really wanted an AFOL, and now I got him. There's a great group finding group you can find in the MOCathalon. Srry, and great build.
