15-Piece Vehicle Challenge: Alternate Builds #4 -- Boldly Going Where No MOC Has Gone Before
Alternate builds for the 15-piece Vehicle Challenge.
About this creation
Somebody stop me... I just can't help myself. After creating my official entry for Sam the First's 15-piece Vehicle Challenge, a micro telehandler, I couldn't stop creating more 15-piece vehicles. It's just too much fun. I caught a bit of the Trekkie bug with this one and created three of the best-known starhips from the series/movies (from left to right):

  • An Excelsior-class Federation starship (I'm not entirely happy with that one, but after working with it for a while, I just couldn't do better with 15 pieces).
  • The original Enterprise (i.e. NCC-1701).
  • A Klingon Bird of Prey (definitely my favorite).

Quoting clayton Marchetti Home run! It's outta here! And the crowd goes wild ! These are fantastic Matt. The Enterprise looks awesome , but I agree the Bird of prey is incredible. Maybe you should enter the BOP as your entry. Is that a green ladybug for the bridge? What's next Star Wars ? AT AT!
Thanks. Yeah, in retrospect, the BoP is probably the best of all of my builds so far. It definitely came out as well as I could have hoped (and, yes, the bridge is a Friends ladybug -- it's somewhat ironic to be using it to build one of the most feared ships in the Star Trek universe :-). Re: Star Wars -- I don't know. There have already been loads of great Star Wars micros, including many in the official Advent Calendar, so it might be hard to find something that hasn't been done before.
