Some Stuff I Made
Just pootling around, snapping bricks together as you do...
About this creation

First, an adaptation of one of the models illustrated in the outer ideas pages of an early Technic instruction book; with the refinements of chain drive and suspension...

A little RC car, with suspension and a strong structure - works well, and it's robust, although the dog can still outrun it...

Boldly going....

... Where Navy Person and Chris Roach have been before...

Just had to make what the 8x8 dish could have been made for!

Technic set 8480, the Space Shuttle, is pretty spectacular. Trouble is, it takes up a lot of room...

... Unless you build a stand for it. Now it just needs rockets.

Here's an oldie; the first Technic car chassis, set 853 from 1977. With a twist...

... and not just the twist in the chassis ... suspension! Struts at the front, located by lower links. Technically, this is a sliding pillar suspension, as fitted to old Morgans.

At the back, a compact live axle on four links. And a diff! The lego differential wasn't invented in 1977... It's all done with the aim of keeping it looking as standard as possible.

'OK. You said you'd build me a house. All I see is a door! If you don't hurry up I'm moving to Mueslixtenstein!*'

Another oldie, the first Technic crane this time - set 855 (1978) doing a most un-855-like thing.

It steers! Hurrah! There's another control to turn the superstructure as well. Another one that looks as standard as possible, including those do-it-yourself stabilizers...

The latest issue of the 2CVGB Club magazine... very nice people!

A few (minor!) jobs to do...

That's all folks! For now...

"Those oldies but goodies" said the song. Never been so true. I'm fan of the first -modified chassis- and the bike. It looks like your work is getting famous. Keep it on, Nick!! I wish you to be an official builder someday...

Quoting matt rowntRee I wanted that chassis so bad for years when it came out. (Yes I remember when it came out!) But now, I want it more. That suspension is the coolest. Wicked clever and subtle. I was lost in nostalgia before you pointed it out. These are all great and that Minor is truly going to be sweet. As for Jane, she should know that Mueslixtenstein is the place to be! We have a car in every pot and a chicken in every garage. After Topsy is through with her circus gig, she could join all of us on our miles of beaches for a Mai Tai. Clothing is always optional. XDDD
Happy days! I saved my pocket money for nearly a year to buy mine on holiday. I was 9. Yes, I am that old... Thanks matt :-)
