A new car, a new brand, a new challenge; the mission statement for what this creation was all about. Now I do understand that the Ferrari master Ryan Link has made a 599 GTB. This is a Ferrari 599 GTO, and may very well be the only one in Lego (Correct me if I'm wrong please). The 599 GTO is a road going version of the 599XX, and was the fastest road car ever made by the company. That was, until the F12 came along. Much more information lies below. So, enjoy...
About this creation
Many things open on this car
Despite the fact that this car is 100kg lighter than the standard 599, it is hard to see where all the weight came from
The interior looks almost the same (Except for the insane amount of Carbon Fibre)
Boot is big and can even fit a spare tyre
ENGINE: A huge 661 BHP monster, producing an even more amazing 620 Nm of Torque
Bonnet hinge system was a new idea I tried, worked out quite well
because production of the GTO was limited to 599 units, every car is different
vents in the bonnet
A new thing for me - Padded doors!
And we reach the end of the post. Thanks for looking at this car. If you can, please rate and/or comment. I have a selection of cars to make for the finale of Supercar Month, so I will see you all then...THANKS
An outstanding effort, as usual! while there is a lot to like about this build, what stands out for me the most are the doors and the interior. I really like how you did the black interior on the doors, and I also like the rally-pac style instruments on the dash.
Wooow!!! Man this car is one of my favourite Ferraris and you have done an amaaazing job on that. The hole result is mindblowing and really brings your building skills to a whole new level. Like you said you used many new techniques and this is probably my all time favourite of your builds. May I try the 599 XX, but I am not sure. It is hard to get a better design than this.
Let's start with my one tiny little niggle - I think the head lights are a bit wide. But, hole Mary, the thing itself is a work of art. The rear is gorgeous, as is he engine. Perfect work, and apart from the odd 4-wide, I believe you are indeed the first person to make and accurate 599 GTO. woooowwwww.....
