My entry to the WRESTLING bracket of the Tourney 2014! :)
About this creation
Toa Infernum vs. Mr. Cab

Guild: Average Gnomes

Bracket: Wrestling

Category: Championship
The competition is narrowing down to the best of the best. This time, engage in an actual wrestling match in the bracket semifinals - and take it seriously, because TV style is SO last-round. Flair and intimidation are fair game, but keep some dignity and focus on the awe-inspiring might of your opponents, be they minifigure or something not-so-mini.

It was a happy day in a dark place as the spectators gathered.

Present, of course were some Average Gnomes, including George Marshal himself!
George: Why am I wearing Cowboy pants?
David: Because the local authorities made you put on pants, and these were the only ones you’d wear.
George: Oh, yeah!
Brick: Why am I a Mexican…?
David: …

To the right was Ian, who was wearing full armor for some reason…
Ian: MAKE ME A MOD!
Everyone: :1

Rego stepped out with the other competitors. This was not the semifinals wrestling match he’d been expecting. Instead of a rink, it looked like all of the final 8 competitors would be thrown in the swamp to see who, if anyone, would make it out alive…

Suddenly Rego saw it, a black sword, implanted in a skeleton. That would be a great advantage to whoever snagged it first…

The competitors were ready, four on a large rock….

And four in the swamp.

Someone yelled “GO!” and everyone sprang into action! Rego, who didn’t want to be around the massive minotaur he started next to took a leap…

The man next to him was not so lucky, and was thrown by the massive beast!

He landed in front of an orc-looking man, who threw him into the water.

Rego: Definitely acid…

Rego himself was charged by a wicked looking hunter orc.

The dragon-man had sped through the air towards the sword, and the winged beast retrieved it… And charged towards Rego!

Rego narrowly managed to dodge the blade… The orc was not so lucky, and his face received a razor-sharp obsidian blade.

The werewolf charged at Rego at a savage pace.

Rego: Why can’t I fight a human?!

Meanwhile the Wildman snuck up on the other orc, and tackled him into the acidic water…

But lost his footing and went into the depths of doom too.

They both felt the hot burn of the swamp-acid.

With sudden ferocity the Minotaur jumped, and in a super human display of acrobatics tackled the soaring Dragon-man!

Rego saw all this while sidestepping the werewolf…

Who collided with the Minotaur who had just landed… The Minotaur was not happy to be tackled by the Werewolf, and expressed his anger by stabbing through the Werewolf’s gut…

And hurling him into the fiery waters.

There were three contestants left, Arian, a massive Minotaur, and a deadly Dragon-man. Each stood still, considering their options, observing their foes.

It was almost calm, until someone in the audience sneezed, and the Minotaur ran like the massive bull he was, straight at Rego.

Rego turned, grabbing the skeleton beside him…

Hurling it at the Minotaur. It distracted the beast just enough for Rego to tackle him, smashing his head through the ever-hungry, deep emerald waters.

Rego had managed to rip a horn from the Minotaur’s head, and with it he turned. What Rego see did not make him a happy camper. He saw the Dragon-man cutting through the air, straight a t him!

Rego ducked to the ground, barely avoiding his opponent.

The impact was just enough to send the blade skittering away…

Rego turned, throwing the horn at the Dragon-man’s eyes.

It missed its mark, only knocking off his adversary’s helmet.

The two began a desperate fist fight…

The two pushed each other back…

And when the Dragon-man charged Rego was ready, and dodged…

Grabbing and ripping the reptile’s wing! The Dragon-man roared in pain.

Dragon-man: Hisssss! You will die for thisss, filthy human!

Rego was caught off guard as the enraged beast tackled him…

Or was he? To the Dragon-man’s surprise Rego had managed to grab his foot…

Rego summoned all his strength, and threw the reptile into the rockwall!

The beast made wicked hisses of rage as he realized that, without a wing, he couldn’t right himself, and plummeted into the deadly water!

George: YEAH!!! AVERAGE GNOMES!
George suddenly back flipped over the chains, jumping into the arena to congratulate Rego.

Rego took off the mask George made him wear (for PR purposes).

Rego: Can I be and admin again now? Have I proven myself?

George: Hahahhahahahhah! Of course not!

Rego: In that case… You do realize you jumped in the acid, right?

George: I’m wearing a magic speedo! I’ll be fine!

The End. :P

Now for some figless shots!

Love the landscaping here.

Broken bridge. (sorry these pics are bad, had to take them inside).

The tree! Raven included!

Creator’s Comments:

I love the build, I really do. I love the swamp, the angled wedges on top of the rocks, and especially the awesome color scheme. Olive and dark brown. <3.

Also, did anyone notice the subtle Forced Perspective in the shots? If you didn't go back and find it! (or you can see it in the main shot) ;)

Good luck to Mr. Cab, and thanks to all the judges for your time (and votes…? Maybe…?) ;)

Thanks for viewing, hope you liked it! More to come soon! :D

Quoting Andrew the Jedi Ninja Great build! The one rock top that had the angled edges came out very nice. It probably was my favorite part. The funny things you added here and there were great too. Good luck!
Thanks Andrew! I agree, I love that part. ;). Thanks! :D
Quoting Lindel Baskin Fantastic build, Toa. The landscaping is beautiful. Great color scheme! I love the texturing, especially the sloping plates up top. That broken bridge looks great as well. Good luck!
Thanks! I was surprised I could find enough olive plates, good thing Mirkwood Elf Army had a few. ;)
Quoting Stephen Boe Forced perspective looks pretty good! The action is very effectively portrayed. The build is just awesome, I now want to use my trans red tiles and plates now. Great job!
Thanks Stephen! Use them! I plan to use 1x2 dark red bricks as a blood-lake thing next. ;)

Quoting Mr. Cab It just occured to me that you didn't include a view of the whole moc. That is not a bad thing, but I am kind of unsure looking at it what the dimensions are... Just a tip. I still admire your photography, by the way. A lot better than mine.
Huh, that's odd. I thought I had one. The MOC is 32x32, with a two stud border. ;)
Quoting Stormjay Rider LOL, this is great... I see the Gnomes are not quite unified. Also, I was expecting a Gnome to go into the acid at some point... and I got that. Good job. :)
Ha, ha, yeah, not quite. :P. Glad to hear I met your expectations! ;)
Quoting Thomas of Tortuga Wow, do I ever sense a Lego store visit :P There's no small amount of jockeying for power going on in The Gnomes, I presume? The build looks really nice, and the vertical rocks are quite good. Some of the minifigures look too stock or too The-Lego-Movie-ish, though.
Ha, ha, I stocked up on the trans green 1x1 when my LEGO store had them. :P. Yeah, there's quite a bit. ;). Thanks! :)

Thanks Ian! :P
Quoting Michael K. Nice detail, you're a great builder.
Thanks so much! I'm kinda annoyed only one of the two Forced Perspectives (one on each side) can be seen in the photos. And, of course, the better one is the one not in the photos. Oh, well. Thanks!
