Toa Hema
About this creation

Name: Hema
Species: Toa
Race: Vo-Matoran
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Good
Allegiance: Outcast Toa
Occupation: Ranged combat
Element: Lightning
Powers: Electricity powers, psychic abilities
Personality: An energetic fighter with a positive and playful attitude. Somewhat naive and unable to best control her powers.
Front view
Bio: Hema lived in a village in Mata Nui's left arm. A Vo-Matoran, she was highly energetic and seemed to never tire. She shared an especially close bond with a Ga-Matoran "sister" named Makaen.
What separated Hema from her Matoran brothers and sisters were her visions -- she received these from time to time, and often these would prove as critical messages to the village Turaga. One of these dreams prompted her to believe she had a destiny as a Toa -- and the Turaga, agreeing, told her that a Toa team was forming, and she was to be a part of it.
Back view
The downside to Hema's abilities was her lack of experience. In her first Toa mission, she was lured into a trap, and then seriously injured in the stomach. Her team, including her "sister" Makaen, believed she was lost.
However, it was not so -- as a team of Outcast Toa, headed by Jethryn, intervened and finished off the Toa's enemies, Jethryn found the injured Hema. After treating her stomach injury, he offered to take her in as an Outcast. She accepted. At present, Jethryn has taken her as his protégée, intending to aid her in learning control of her element, which he has mastered.

4.W.C.: Another character for my upcoming story. Also, my first "normal" FeMOC to post on the pages - Tranlii was a heavily modified character.
Legs
As with Vergeis, the overall design is very simple, so as to conserve pieces for MOCs that need it. I used simple upper legs and arms, minimal-piece lower legs, and a simplified rehash of Galek's lower leg strucure for the upper arms.
Back view of torso
The torso is the most notable part of the design -- it is based around a Zamor Sphere launcher. I had tried this before on an unfinished MOC, but I decided to do it again, as I could possibly save some pieces by using this. The breast design is also simple, and a part of her overall design from the start. I found that it left a lot of open space on the MOC, so I filled it in with a blue Heartlght, Inika shoulder armor, and a construct protecting the neck on the top.
Arms
Forgot to take pictures of the head, but it's also custom.
Also...
Blacklight photoI know what you're thinking... aside from "OMG Blacklight"... "Why does she have green eyes?" Well, I have blue ones that work with the head, but I couldn't find them.
MOC comparisons
Comparisons with Jethryn, Tranlii, and Onadus (currently being revamped.)
Another "Also"... new posters.

For Toa Taile. Taile, let's have no more complaining about not getting any posters, okay?

For Toa of Sushi, a new MOCpages user with a good sense of humor and a good sense for MOCing. Go check his stuff out, please!

For Chi Warrior, one of my oldest online friends, who deserves it.

For myself! :P See the original MOC Here.
Well, that's it for now... please rate and comment!

Quoting Toa of Sushi Stormjay...You are an amazing photo editor as you are a MOCcer. ;) First things first; That has GOT to be the most innovative use of a zamor launcher. Until now, I though those things were completely useless (And I have tons of them :P). The hair's also nice and the offset color of it doesn't detract [much] from the blue and white. Only thing that gets me is the mask. It doesn't really look all that feminine, but if you like it, stick with it. :) And thanks for the poster, love the colors and the wording. I look forward to seeing/hearing more from you. And "Steel Sushi Master"... That has a nice ring to it.
First things first, Blacklight pictures aren't photo editing. Secondly, glad you like the Zamor launcher-based torso. Actually, The first one I tried used a Hordika chestplate/Nuva chestplate combo, which covered up the open area pretty well (if you're low on connectors). About the mask, it looks slightly feminine, but more than that I chose it because it looks young, the more important aspect of the character. And you're welcome. :)
