MELO Round 3: Eli Willsea vs. Li Li
Orthanc Bracket
About this creation
Well to start off, it has been a pleasure participating in this year’s MELO competition so far!

My great opponent for this round is Li Li , and we have been given the category of:

“All dead... all rotten. Elves and men and orcses. A great battle, long ago. The Dead Marshes... yes, that is their name.”

This quote is spoken by Gollum as he is leading Frodo and Sam through the Dead Marshes. I decided to go with the original scene that the quote came from for this round's entry.

So, without further ado, I present my interpretation of the Dead Marshes!
Enjoy!

God Bless!
-Eli

Very nice. It's a tad messy for my tastes, but it does it's job well. The color Pallet is brilliant for a swamp! Not to mention using the tinted windows as swampy water is brilliant!

While your opponent may have a more pleasing composition in his build, it was a bit too simplistic for my tastes. You've succeeded in creating an engaging build that's both fun to look at and very tasteful in its palate, shape, and technique. While it may be too late now, you've got my vote! Keep up the phenomenal work!

While your direct approach to the category makes for a lovely...no...ghastly build, my vote goes to your opponent's single shot forced perspective. Although not as detailed as your 3-D model, it featured very original parts usage and pleasing composition. Thanks for playing!

Wonderful entry! I like the use of dark transparent bricks. They fit the athmosphere of this scene perfectly! A the end I will vote for your opponent though, because Li Li's forced perspective is just amazing!
