My entry for the Lands of Mythron Universal Challenge. Enjoy!
About this creation
Winter had finally set in, wrapping its cold, frigid grip all the way around the shores of Rainos and beyond. I had recently been called upon to help my allies, some Rainosian soldiers, with a horde of orcs who had been constantly raiding them for supplies to prepare for winter. The Rainosians had settled in the ruins, hoping to reside there until spring. If it carried on any longer, no supplies would be left for the soldiers to live off of. And so that's where I come in.

Rainosian Captain: Bless the stars you've come Mr. Jaldor! We need you now more than ever!

Me: So I've heard. I'm here to help anyway I can. So lets get right down to business. When is the last time they raided?

Rainosian Captain: Two day ago. They stole some of our livestock, canned food, and salted meat! Not to mention some of our best ale! We fear they could be coming at any time today!

Me: Then there is not a moment to waste. I want your best swordsmen placed here on the ground with you and me. And I want your best archers up on the high wall. Understood?

Rainosian Captain: It shall be done!

Me: Good. We will have the element of surprise. They won't expect retaliation.

The best archers were placed upon the wall, ready to shoot at a moments notice.

Me: I'm sure we don't have much time. Prepare the men! Today you make a stand!

Rainosian Captain: Yes, Mr. Jaldor! Men! To arms!

We stood, waiting, staring at the gaping entrance before us. The archers above had arrows in their bows, ready to pull back and fire. The men standing around me were shaky and nervous. But I had faith in them. After all, they would be fighting for their lives. Then, from above, we heard the archer from the highest tower shout.

Archer: Here they come!

Me: Get ready!

And before you could say "Orc!" a really ugly one dressed in orcish fashion vaulted over the crumbling ruin wall and advanced upon us! He was surprised to see us, as I had hoped.

But it couldn't be helped, more orcs advanced over the wall, ready to pillage.

Me: Charge! Crush them all!

When we advanced, a small flurry of arrows rained from the high wall, killing two orcs from the horde. One retreated. Only a few stayed to challenge us.

The battle was small, but harsh. Despite that, we easily overcame them. One orc was double teamed, defeated in an instant. I defeated one as well with a stab to the chest. And when the last orc was slain, we knew we were victorious.

All around, the soldier whooped and hollered, happy as could be.

Rainosian Captain: By the stars! We've done it! We owe you a mighty thanks and much more, Mr. Jaldor!

Me: Glad to help. Just remember to stay warm. I hear its going to get harsh this winter.

Rainosian Captain: Will do, sir! Come and visit us any time! Our ale is your ale!

Me: Many thanks, but I must be returning now. If you ever need me, just send a letter.

Rainosian Captain: Yes sir!

And now, just some extra build shots.

Also, I'm not sure whom it belongs to, but the destroyed wall technique was inspired from builds I saw by A P and Toa Infernum.

Well, thanks for looking, and please remember to rate and comment! :D

@Stephen- No, he had a wizard disenchant his face from its red-haired spell of concealment. Seriously. :P

Did Jaldor just get magical plastic surgery? What happened to his orange hair?!

I like the moc overall, the only issue have is it doesn't seem to fit the challenge. To me the challenge is supposed to be along the lines where the people have been couped up for so long, they are getting restless and an internal conflict arises to which your character responds. This is just a battle where you come to the aid of some allies who are experiencing external conflict with orcs not internal conflicts. Perhaps if you showed up and they were turning on one another due to the lack of supplies. Anywho my two sense. Still a good scene =)

Oh, you're going for the spy rank. If I were in your shoes, I would use that to join a faction you don't trust like Mythron because you're already in the Rainos group, but I guess joining in on our challenges might be something.

Haha, from first glance I thought they were stairs :P The design reminds me a little of Infernum's new castle. Sure it's not your greatest, but like you said, you didn't spend a lot of time on it. People gotta take that into account. That said, well done!

@Mark! THAT'S WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE! STAIRS! You're a genius.

Nice work, Jacob! I actually think it looks pretty good, especially the tower. The ruins just look a little too simple. Who knows, maybe they had converted the ruined wall into stairs so they could reach the top of the tower! ;)

Quoting Gilbert Despathens Do you want to just convert completely to Rainos? Most of your recent builds have been here or in Carthal. You don't have to, but we would like it if you did.
I currently have enough points and ranks for dual factionship. My next build will be based on that. So I'll be officially half-Rainosian. :P

Quoting Professor B. The tower is awesome! But I have to agree with Freeling. I think the wall could have been done better. And I think a little more rubble everywhere would make it look more ruined. You know what I mean? But after reading this, I'm so relieved! My entry for the UC has basically the same kind of plot! :)
Thanks Professor! :)

Awesome! Not your best, but I still LOVE it!

Yeah, I agree with the others. I think it might be better to build a small MOC if you have to rush it rather than a large one that's not as high quality - after all, the judges could look at quality over quantity and prefer the small MOC.

I know its not that good, I just needed to get something in so I could get 5 points. ;P I literally did it all in about an hour.

Yes, the tower looks very good, but the ruined wall needs more detail inside to be convincing.

I'm not really a big fan of that floor, and the destroyed wall needs some more 'destroyed'ness. :P But other than that, it's great. Nice work.

Sorry Bro. but the random tiles and plates scattered about for the ground doesn't look very good. And then that ruined wall? It looks like a chainsaw blade, or something. It just doesn't look ruined. It looks like designs almost. Nice MOC doh.
