S.S. Botany Bay
S.S. Botany Bay appeared in the episode Space Seed. It was a nuclear powered vessel of the DY-100 class interplanetary transport of the late 20th century. It was converted into a sleeper ship and was launched in 1996 with Khan and his band of genetically bred supermen.I decided to post this after several requests hope you enjoy.

Quoting Hayden . I've just rewatched this episode! Great rendition, even if it is slightly more on the simplistic side, but that works to the advantage as it means this looks elegant!
Thanks Hayden! This ship and the K-7 station were only props for the Enterprise shoot. But I had a lot of requests to shoot them separately so I did. If you look at the original filming model it is very simplistic and that is what I went by. No embellishments no add ons no artistic license.

I aplogise, but I do not think I will make an A-1 after all. I faced a number of problems when trying to make it, first and foremost being the lack of a special part that I have very little of.

Quoting Bill Ding I love the lines of this ship so much! I used a similar nose design on my Bell P-59. 5/5
Thanks Bill! I thought about using cones but they seriously changed the look of the ship . So I went back to to this way. I just love all these new curved slopes that lego is making.

Quoting Kai Bernstein Very nice rendition, if a bit simplistic. But then, nothing from TOS had that many greebles, so I understand there's not much else you could have done. :P
Thanks again Kai! Yea this was a really simple build but it was really just a prop I built to photograph with Enterprise , but I received a lot of requests to post it by itself .

Thank you David initially it was just a prop to make Enterprise look good. But I had a lot of requests to post it and K-7 so there it is.

Quoting Scott Bertaut Awesome, I loved that episode! The fan based must have too as they brought the ship and Khan back in Star Trek 2! It has been a while since I saw the episode, so I can't comment on your models accuracy, but it looks really good in its own right. Great job!

Quoting Dustin Werner "SS Botany Bay? Botany Bay... Botany Bay! Oh no! We have to get out of here! Hurry!" I've probably seen Star Trek II Wrath of Khan at least fifty times. Of course, as you mentioned, this is from Space Seed, I just couldn't resist quoting Chekov there. Thank you very much Dustin. Wrath of Khan was my favorite trek movie too. I wore out my first VHS tape of it. Fantastic job on the Botany Bay! I love it. So simple but yet managed to capture the ship perfectly. Wonderful.
