I was returning home after a long day of beating up fake gnomes, or real gnomes who were real losers.
I had found a stray dog on my adventures, and he took a liking to me. I had turned around to pat it, when a sound of shuffling feet brought me back to reality.
Turning I prerared for battle.
Three warrior's stepped out from behind a tree, and approached me.
I took my staff, and prepared myself for battle. I noticed there costumes were those of the Council of the Dragon, apparently I was an immediate threat to them.
(Note from Zach: I have ten minutes to get this up, so now I close my mouth for the battle sequence.)
After the skirmish, I noticed something glistening in the pocket of one of the soldiers. I reached in, and pulled out an elven knife, SCORE!
Tidbits: I really hoped you like this entry, I didn't write s much as I usually do, mainly because I ran out of time. I also used a NON-LEGO piece, a brickforge sword. I am willing to risk it. Enjoy!
This was extremely tough for me. I kept going back and forth between you and your opponent, both of your builds are top notch. I found that your build was incredible in some parts (such as the architecture in the buildings) however somewhat simple for you in other parts (the top of the building, the back, and the path). So although both of you did great, you opponent gets my vote due to his more complete and clean build.
I liked both of these entries, but I managed to decide eventually. ~UberBricks, your hinged wall was excellent and that's the best use of the preformed battlement piece I've seen in a while, but your inner buildings, including the well and the house, were not quite on the same level. Zach, your corner scene displayed better "timber" architecture, but I had to take off for the amount of plain plates used on the ground and the strangeness of the stone upper floors - stone typically goes on the bottom, and the railing around the top seemed like a let-down after everything below it. However, I did not take off for the lack of interiors (in either case) or for the third-party sword, since I feel that those tricks are fair game to any builder. Anyway, my final vote goes to Zach. Good luck to both of you, and thanks for entering these great builds.
Hmm... You might want to try making a complete creation next time, instead of just a wall. The entry is okay, but could be better. :P (Just kidding!) Great job Zach! It's nice to see a new creation from you! Good luck! I think the roof on the house-ish part looks fine. :)
Neat build, great layout. I'm not so sure that like the colors on that one roof though, maybe if they were less organized...? Just a tip: to prepare for last minute posts like this it's often good to write the story before building; I find it gives me a bit more of a plan (plus it allows me to upload faster.) Anyway, great entry.
