After the Jetpack, Rocka decided that he wanted to go a little more subtle (Thank goodness). This is the Rocka Stealth Machine, set #44019 with 89 pieces.
About this creation

Those who've seen my reviews are probably getting sick of this, so I'll keep it short. I'm not applying the stickers for MOCmaking purposes, sorry for not doing so, blah blah.

Pieces include:
1 regular torso piece
4 grey five-long upper limb pieces
1 black five-long lower limb piece
2 grey six-long lower limb pieces
6 black three-long lower limb pieces
2 black single socket pieces
1 grey three-long liftarm with a balljoint in the middle
2 gunmetal feet

3 gold three-long armour pieces
4 gunmetal four-long armour pieces
4 black five-long armour pieces
1 silver five-long printed armour piece
2 black "Breakout (Wave 2)" shoulder pieces
1 lime green seat

1 trans-black windscreen
2 trans-green cylindrical container pieces
1 green "Zamor sphere" (or "Goo Shooter", as it is called in this context)
1 gunmetal upper launcher piece
1 trans-green lower launcher piece
2 technic right angle axel pieces
2 grey pneumatic hose/axel connectors
4 trans-green "Savage Planet" claw pieces
and an assortment of small technic/system pieces

As for Minifigs, we get Rocka (duh) and an orange Beast Larve creature.

See my Evo Walker Review for both the ins and outs of the Hero Figs and the Beast Larve in general.

The Rocka minifig is a "code: meh" situation. Yeah, the gold and gunmetal works nicely, but a little too nicely, I think. It's become a little bland over time I think. That may just be me though. The Rocka helmet suffers from the transition from action figure to minifig, I think. The roundness of the helmet, that is needed to fit around a minifig head, really doesn't suit Rocka that much, considering his helmet was always thin and small, this large round head makes him look a lot less like him. The figure isn't bad, but it's a little boring. Kind of suits his blandish and under-developed character, eh? He certainly isn't my favorite character, as you may have guessed.

The Stealth Machine is a pleasent suprise. When I first saw the picture of this guy, with "Stealth Machine" above it, I was sort of like:
"Are you kidding me? That isn't stealthy! That thing stands out more than Ronald Macdonnald! Gimme a break!"
When I got the thing in my hands, I was much more apreciative of it. The Gold was kept to a minimum, which was replaced by gunmetal and black, with black being the most dominant. This was good to see (I was also glad to get some size-five black armour pieces which weren't printed.), and also, when you stand this next to the other Machines, you notice that the Stealth Machine looks a lot thinner and a lot lighter on it's feet. Now lets be honest, that's about as stealthy as a large exo-suit/weapons bay is going to get. This is definately one that looks a whole lot better in person than on the packaging.

It's also good to see that they made an effort to cover the back with this one. I mean, it's not perfect; Bringing the container in closer to the body would have been more effective, but it's just good to see that the designers are actually trying to make the backs on these guys look good.

The container is the same as the other ones. You can see my Stormer Freeze Machine Review to hear to say what I exactly think about these things. This one is no different.

(By the way, I'm sorry about the bluriness of some of these photos)

The "Claw" arm is quite cool. It's good because for these Battle Machines, the designers can get away with making this not look like an actual hand, because it's not actually a hand. So even though it's basic, it still looks appropriate. The printed piece is one of the nicest printed pieces I've seen. I've mentioned before how I hate printed pieces, but this one is quite nice; that gold looks a lot shinier and a lot more gold-ish than the gold they use in the rest of the model. The patern is cool, and very non specific, which is great for MOCmaking. It's a great extention to the set.

One of the major problems with the set is how much is exposed there between the cockpit and the shoulder pieces. It kind of makes this one look a little more bare than the rest of them. The good thing is that if you remove the second lower limb piece that connects the shoulder pieces, bringing them closer to the torso, it solves that problem, and smooths it out up there. It does take away some of the bulk up there, and changes the shape a little, but I personally prefer that look. You'll have to try that one out yourself and tell me what you think.

The use of that armour piece as a foot rest for Rocka and the armour piece above the cockpit creates a nice smooth flow, that a Stealth Machine really needs. It makes the whole thing look a lot more solid. It's a shame that they couldn't fill in that gap towards the bottom, but It's not a huge problem, since you don't really see it from any other angle than directly at the sides.

Good stuff, quite satisfied with this. I'm going to rate this set in three different catogories; Toy value (how good it is to play with and pose ect.), Design Value (The design, including the colour scheme and how it was built) and Moccist Value (The amount of good pieces).
This is how this set turns out;

Toy Value: 4/5 (Regular stuff, but nothing that really holds it back.)

Design Value: 4/5 (Generally satisfied with what we've been given. The only problem is the number of gaps in it.)

Moccist Value: 3/5 (The increase in trans-green and black parts will always keep me happy.)

Total score: 11/15

Comments: A good set. It's not as good as the Furno Jet Machine, but I feel I got my money's worth here. I'm glad Rocka's stepped to the side for this line. I hope he stays that way in Wave 2.

Quoting Ahpolki Ihu Very nice review. BTW, Rocka's mech has a cloaking device installed inside of it, hence the reason it being called the "Stealth Machine".
Yeah, I did see the show, so I knew that. But if it lumbered around everywhere, it would break the stealthiness of it :)

Quoting X ~ Nice review Werty! I actually really do like this machine a lot, maybe even better than the brilliant Furno Jet Machine. I thinks it's the color. I'm a s(u)c(k)a for Black and Gunmetal. And also your dreams will be crushed when you realize that Rocka has 1 and half machines in wave 2. ;)
Yeah, as I said, the colour is really nice. Hrrm, I've seen the show, and it doesn't seem as if Rocka has too big a role.

Quoting Toa Chains Another epic review! I actually think this set (next to Evo's XL machine) is my favorite! I like the colours and shape of the figure. I'll probably pick up this one and Evo's XL Machine.
Cool! Glad you like the set so much!
