Category/Quote: "If you're referring to the incident with the Dragon, I was barely involved. All I did was give your uncle a little nudge out of the door."

I decided it would be fun to build Gandalf "nudging" (kicking) Bilbo out of Bag End straight into Erebor, with of course Smaug in the mix.

Note: I've been trying to upload this for half of the day, but it just wasn't working, so I uploaded the pictures to Flickr and copied the HTML from the pictures there and pasted them here. Hope it works...

Many thanks to Evan " daevster " Ridpath for hanging out with me while I was on vacation in his city and going to see the second Hobbit with me! I knew I wanted to build Smaug, but Evan suggested that I build a giant Smaug's head instead of the whole dragon. I think it's a lot better this way so thanks again! :)

From Bag End to Erebor
I used all of my gold pieces in this!

From Bag End to Erebor
When I was watching the Hobbit I noticed that some of the pillars in Erebor were exactly the same style as the ones in the Mines of Moria from the Fellowship of the Ring, so I thought it would be cool to incorporate one into my build.

Smaug the Chief and Greatest of Calamities
Ohhhhh yeah! It might be hard to believe but this is the first dragon I've ever built! I think what helped me with it was the fact that when I was little I was really into dinosaurs so I'm pretty familiar with dinosaur anatomy, which I would think would be similar to a dragon's.

Awesome! Obviously you won, because your opponent didn't add his entry, but it would have been really hard for any builder to beat this impressive entry, so you really deserved the win!

It's never fun to win by default, but seeing as this is one of the most awesome entries I've seen yet, I have no doubt you would have crushed whatever resistance Kyle could have offered. Nicely played!

Wow, Elliott! I knew from your idea that this would be crazy, but you absolutely nailed it on this category! First off, LOVE the architecture with the pillar, staircase, and gold piles. The depth of the Bag End door is brilliant, as it looks like a fully furnished interior (with a peeking dwarf around the corner). And of course, Smaug! My favorite piece is Darth Maul's arm for the pupil! So creative! Best of luck in this round, and can't wait to see where this takes you!
