Executor - Darth Vader´s Super Star Destroyer
After a heavy Transport damage I designed everything new. So this is a complete new better Moc.
About this creation
Ladies and Gentelman, friends, fellow builders and everyone who read this!

It is time again! After a damaging accident during transport with a trailer I decided to build everything from scratch and design new, pretty much everything is built differently in order to achieve the multiple of stability. Now, I add the small windows, which are very present in the executor himself. This imply that I will and have designed and build the complete outside new! This means also that this is not a mod or rebuild of the old one. It´s a complete new Moc! The executor is 14cm longer now, even the engines were completely discarded and 100% new designed and built completely new. So this is therefore not a reconstruction of the old executor, but a completely new building, which was also completely new designed, and so a completely new standing for itselve Moc and no reconstruction, which is only similar to the others because it is the same model! This I want to clarify directly at the begin, because on other websites people think this was only a rebuild, which is completely wrong.

Now, those who don´t want to read all the info and just want to enjoy the Moc in its magnificence, may take 2 minutes and watch the YouTube video :

Now, for those who prefer to look at pictures and those who are with the video already through and want to see more or to know more :

First I would like to present the comparison to the old Executor. I am going to compare the two cover images. Everyone who holds these images side by side will see huge differences to the old executor and of course some similarities in design, because it is simply the same model.

The new one:

Transport accident of the old one:

The old one:

You are welcome to compare the other sections of the new and old one and the same result will be there! Here you can also clearly see that the new executor is a completely new designed Moc and no reconstruction or mod of the old one.

Well, this is enough about the old executor, this is about the new Executor!

Now a few words about Moc :

Length: 2.19 m
Number of pieces: about 40000 (alone about 13,000 trans light blue coloured stones 1x1 )
Number of LEDs: almost 100 lights
Construction of this new Executors : 1 year and 2 months (estimated 500 hours)
Weight : I have no clue but he is insanely hard not to lift with a man, it is possible but also difficult with 2 persons. So more than 50 kg I would say.

Now for the other images of the Mocs with just little text, because pictures say more than 1000 words, questions about the pictures are of course welcome and can be made here or on YouTube!

Here's from the other side as the cover image and the other cover image:

The upper Town in their new light (pun):

Yet another image of the upper city, which is a bit blurred and looks very cool :

Now just an overall view again :

The lower trench with the hangar, which is also in the film, is a bit brighter lit, because I find it better:

Now, we are at the engines, here is an overall view of the engines:

The engines during twilight red LEDs better seem to see:

Finally again a final overall view and only one photo with the upper city in space background and a picture with me:

Some additional pictures:

At the end of this project I would like to especially thank my parents, because without them none of this would been possible. Without them the lighting can never look so good and I would not get the stand with extendable handles now! (Christmas present!) And otherwise for your great patience in this project and the availability of the hobby room. THANK YOU for everything!

Otherwise it still applies to the community of Imperium der Steine because they have brought this project to where it is now! Thank you IdS! The special people who allegedly helped me a little more now feel particularly thanks, now. I will not list everyone of you, but you know who is meant! Only the good Matthias Strauss I would especially like to thank, as he advised me again and again and we have repeatedly discussed in long Skype conversations and also thank you for having to choose the pictures, the small processing aid of this and advise on the video. Thank you Matthias! (His Mocpage: Click here!)

That was it already. I hope that you like it and otherwise Thank you for motivating and for the comments! Thank you!

May the force and stones always be with you!

Your Micky

Ps: Who discovered the little joke, which is there in the original ? Write it in the comments!

Beautiful work! Boy, can I relate to transportation woes. I'm trying to figure out the best design for a crate that transports this: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/380177 I was considering using stretch film in strategic locations as well, to keep the model together and provide additional support during the moving process. I'd be interested to see your final solution for moving the Star Destroyer. Meanwhile, nice to see you reworked the original design here...looks fantastic!

Quoting Thomas Benedikt Fantastic job once again! Lots more greebles this time. And the added lights really bring her to life. You need to give me a full LED parts list. As for the old version, I can see why it was destroyed in transport. Simply securing the base isn't enough. Because of torque and vibrations, she'll rattle apart. You need to pack her in a box with styrofoam so she can't budge one bit.
Thank you! Your idea with the box with styrofoam is very good. I discuss about it on diffrent Lego conventions with other builders, but the making of the box is very complicated. However, there is an other idea, which is nearly as good as this, the Executor will be packed in foil. I tested it on the not very good rebuild of the Executor and it would rescued the old version if I transported it with a better vehicle as a trailer (Every vehicle is better as a trailer (NEVER transport with a trailer!!!)). Now the new Executor will be packed in foil and will be transported with our normal car. The spike and the end are removable for transports, too. The whole construction is now multiple times more stabil as the old one. This is my new way to transport it! The Lifelites LEDs which are in the executor are: 3 warm white LEDs (12inch), 13 red LEDs (12inch), 2 white LEDs (6inch), the rest blue LEDs (12inch)(You will need for your moc more than 100 of These) and 9 Jumper cable for connecting the MCUs(12inch), 11 eLite Basis MCUs and 2 eLite Advanced 2 MCUs for the flickering of the engines. I didn´t used batterie boxes, I used a customed Distribution board. You will need nearly the same in a bigger number.

Quoting Pieter Vanden Meersschaut Great rebuild! You have to be pretty determined to rebuild it after such a nasty crash like that! What kind of LED's did you use? Lifelites? I'm currently building a 2.5 meter long venator and I would like to put LED's in it andI wold like it t be "Lego ready". I already ried some stuff with powerfunctions LED's but they are not easy to work with. Let me know. Anyway great build and I would love to see this I real life one day!
Thank you! I used Lifelites, they are the best. The powerfunctions LED´s aren´t good for the high Price.
