the M-Team Van (2 wide A-Team Van)
A 1/4 Minifig scale 1983 GMC Vandura. The whole thing is only 2 inches long and has only 32 pieces. Despite this, it still has the two tone color scheme and trademark red stripe.
About this creation
Conceptualizing it!
I had made a few 2 wides in the past, my "Takedown! 4x4 Vignette" as well as a few other cars that never got posted (I should post them, they are pretty cool). I generally call 2 wides 1/4 Minifig scale because they are 1/4 the size of my 8 wides. I've always wanted to build an A-Team van, but lacked the parts for an 8 wide version. After building Microwolf (a 1/4 Minifig scale Airwolf) I wondered what other micro 80's stuff I could build.

Let the building begin! (play video for music)

Like most my MOCs, I started building it from front to back, though I ended up having to dismantle and rework it a lot. Every time it ended up much too tall because there wasn't room for the red stripe and rear wheels and still have the two parts connected. I originally solved this by raising the rear suspension. Now on an 8 wide, having the rear 1 plate higher then the front doesn't look too bad, but here it looked ridicules! I finally solved the problem by attaching a tube through the rear axle (see pictures). The roof still bumps up a little bit, but all and all it went pretty smooth from there. Still, I would have to guess it took around 3 hours to build.

Pictures: (sorry if some of them are kind of blurry, I think my camera is finally starting to die. I don't want I new one, I like my Power Shot A610!)

80's Power! Microwolf and The M-Team, now all I need is Knight Rider!

Really weird how I'm into all this 80s stuff when I wasn't born until 1993.

Quoting Daichouju X Looks great! You did Airwolf and the A-Team, now you need to do a micro KITT from Knight Rider!
A micro-scale KITT at this scale wouldn't work well as it would just look like a black wedge. I hope to someday make a 8 wide version of KITT though along with the Mach 5, A-Team van, and Eleanor from the original Gone in 60 Seconds. I currently have a minifig scale version of Street Hawk, but I am trying to get caught up on replying to comments before I upload it.

Quoting Erik Hendrikx Very creative! Don't forget to add Street Hawk to that list! :-)
I hadn't heard of Street Hawk before, but it sounds really cool. I have added the DVDs to my Netflix cue.

Good one. Interesting your comment about building these things from front to back. I tend to do the same thing.

I always knew that the greatness of a builder is not measured by the size of his moc's (thought it still helps), but foremost in the details and building technic's used. You young man, show the signs of a master!

I think it would look better if the top 2x1 clear piece was changed to gray other than that I wish I had the pieces to build something like this
