The start of an all new age for TwigINC.'s navy, the Sea Lion is the start of many more creations to come from TwigINC. in the near future.
About this creation

This creation has been planed for over 4 years, and with lack of time, funds, and overall drive this project was left on the shelf to die only to be revived by the people who swore to take it down. In the third quarter of the year 2011 TwigINC. was in need to replace its ageing fleets. Plans to replace its battleships and destroyers with newer sleeker models went through to the board with out a single stop, but the Carrier plans where a different story. The amount of funding TwigINC. need for this project created the first major problems, with over half of the budget being spent by the Navy sector the board need to shift funding to other projects. The Navy sector at that time (Controlled Range CR) then put the funding it received into its cruiser program, leaving the Carrier programs to die. After a few years it became evident to the board that the carrier program was vastly needed to maintain any bit of sea power. Two contractors went into the bidding process for the Supercarrier project, Grimon Turbo and Mega Mechs. Mega Mechs design was what gave it the vast advantage over Grimon. The double runway provided a decrease in the amount of time to get a certain amount of planes from the hanger to the air, and also helped decrease the chaos on the flight deck. With an almost Unanimous vote for the Mega Mechs design TwigINC. started the project off right with cooperation.

Some of the basic stats and designs for the Sea Lion Class include, the dual runway system. Nine elevators are used on the ship to bring up planes and helicopters from the hangers on the ship. Two nuclear reactors on this ship produce most of the power, and push the ship to a cruising speed of 35 knots. The overall length of the ship is 2578 feet from end to end, and the length of the runways is 2400 feet. The Carrier has the ability to carry 200 aircraft and helicopters of any size and at anytime on the ship. The Sea Lion Employs some of the latest in armor technology bringing in a three layered hull designed to withstand some of the biggest torpedoes and missiles out there.

Now onto the Sea Lion's impressive armament. The Lion is armed with 55 Anti-Air Turret's (A-6) that uses both the CRG Shot range defense mini-gun and the CRT medium range Air defense missile turret (330 missiles). Along with the AA turret's the Sea Lion Class also uses another dual system, the LMS (Laser Microwave System)(A-1). This system uses the LRMB (Long Range Microwave Burst), which is intended to overload enemy electric circuits on aircraft, missiles and computers. The LWS (Laser Weapon System) which is intended to be used as a defense against missiles and ranged artillery attacks, the ship has eight of these. Even if that was enough weapons TwigINC. will still put more on, the Supercarrier holds an impressive eight 250 mm Rail Guns with a range of 71 miles (A-2). The last weapon system before the vertical launch systems is the AS-9 Pulse Missile Launchers. The Pulse Missile was designed to take out any and all hostile ships within a range of 130 miles, the Pulse travels very low and fast across the surface of the water to avoid radar signature.

The last two weapons are the long reaching arms of the Supercarrier, the TD-34 and the TD-38 missiles. The TD-34 has the longest range of any weapon system on the Sea Lion, know as the only ICBM on the ship the TD-34 can carry a range of warheads all ranging in the amount of destruction it can cause. The TD-34 has a maximum range of 4000 miles, all 22 intended to rain hell on the hostile enemy. The last weapon on the Sea Lion is the TD-38 Drill. The Drill has a maximum range of 1500 miles, and brings in the newest in missile technology. The Drill does what is says "Drill" when it comes in contact with its target. After the missiles first impact with its target it will then begin to drill into its target, be a ship or a bunker the drill has a set time off when it reaches its depth determined by gps then programmed into the missile.

The Sea Lion has been an immense project for me even though it is a mini model, it took up a great amount of time detailing this and writing out this page. I was proud to be able to work on this project and will be glad to build creations like these for days to come.

Sykes will be jealous now that his super carrier has been surpassed by this amazing tech.

Wow this is really cool. Dual runway , you know if the island was in the traditional location you could land c-130s on this puppy.

Quoting Daniel Bozarth Great creation, i have already voiced my comments elsewhere, anyways a drill is impractical in a missile for various reasons (namely being it has to get the substance it impacts with out of the way by channels, limiting the speed (you can only move stuff out so fast)) However, and updated version of armor piercing tech could be used, simply have it emit an ionized plasma ahead of the missile before impact and upon penetration, plasma makes extremely clean cuts, can cut through anything, can be easily emitted faster than the missile (allowing maximum speed to be maintained) and alot of plasma can be stored in a realitivly(sic) small area.
Thanks for the advice zero.

Nice work! After building my own carrier a few months ago, its probably time to go back and do another one ;-D Dual runway systems? I think so.....
