The epic introduction of one Marty McFly in the film classic Back to the Future.
About this creation

'I'm afraid you're just too darn loud.'~Huey Lewis, in response to the audition of the 'Pinheads'.

Some bonus fig-barf!

Fourth Dimension Commentary: As a gift to myself for my upcoming 40th birthday, I ordered the Cuusoo Back To The Future Set. Two thumbs up on the set, very nicely packaged and a fine addition to any collection. Along with that, I have been sorting and organizing in an effort to begin my portion of the VLUG collab for BW 2014 and, as often happens when the ol' ADD kicks in, I found myself tinkering with some ideas for BTTF scenes. Next thing you know, I'm watching the movie and whipping this up, only to undo all the sorting and organizing I had accomplished...fudge. =) ~H

Hahaha! Great work, Hans. The very moment I saw it, I knew what I was looking at. The room looks fantastic. I wonder what a LEGO rendition of the room after the fateful strum would look like. I was thrown at first when I saw the handless Marty, but I flipped through my mental Back To the Future rolodex and it all came rushing back. (It's been at least a decade since I've seen the movie). Excellent MOC. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to make like a tree, and get out of here;)

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 hey, Hans, what s happening? you hardly did a thing this year, I wondered what happened with you, great scene man, really instant recog, hitting the big 4 hein? welcome to the club, xd, happy new year, and hopefully you ll be more active now, I miss your jokes and creations, I m glad to hear from you.
Thanks, Frank! Not to worry, I'm still slinging bricks, just lowering my online presence a bit. The hobby is so time consuming on it's own and throwing in the online stuff can be too much at times. I'm hoping to find a nice, happy middle ground this year, but who knows what life has in store? Until next time...~H

Quoting matt rowntRee Just too cool Hans! I think it was not only the intro of Marty to the world, but it was also the point where everyone our age, ahem, wanted to be him. Having seen it recently myself, I agree that we need more BTTF mocs, can't let this classic fade into obscurity. I'm with you, old man! BTW happy 39 + 1!
Thanks, Matt! I was also inspired by your great MO's entry to make a scene that hasn't been done to death and didn't involve the Delorean. Might have to revisit this movie again, as soon as I finish that giant statue of Chris naked for the VLUG BrickWorld layout...oops, I've said too much. Now, make like a tree and get outta here!~H

Might be why they wear life-preservers ...

Excellent! I instantly recognized the scene, and I've only seen BTTF once. I was never really into those movies, but I'm loving the brick built version. That speaker and amp are sweet!

Great build! The giant speaker design is really a neat one, and you've managed to create authentic atmosphere. It is funny, because I watched the movie just yesterday, and was shocked about the clarity of the picture, after watching it on VHS for years when I was a kid. Love this movie, brings back good memories. Wwell done, keep up the good work!

Haha, awesome! I always thought Bill and Ted should get to use this triumphant sound system, but I guess Marty's decent on guitar too. Terrific build, great use of the Cuusoo figure and very accurate scene. Hope you do more BttF builds, and happy early birthday!
