On the MALUG meeting on 20th October 2013 we organised an Allround Car Competition with slalom, parking and simple race. It was my race car!
About this creation
The maximal lenght of the car was 32 studs, the maximal width was 17 studs. We had to use an L motor for driving and we had to put an old differential and two gears between the motor and the wheels to make the changing of the speed easier. And the wheels' diameter had to be 43.2 mm.
My car is 32x15 and has an extra function! It' possible to change the angle of the steering. I could use a hard steering during the slalom, and a soft steerig during the race.
There were 6 competitors, and I were the fourth at the end, because it takes too long for me to park the car.
I made a video, which shows the functions and you can see the car in action, too!
Well, the car hasn't got enough power to do that jump, it's only a trick, I covered my hand, when I edited the video! :)
I built the car in LDD, too, but it doesn't contain the RC equipment. (sevro motor, L motor, V2 receiver, and AAA battery box)
I find the design of this car to be cool. like....really cool. It looks lightweight and stripped down, like a dirt track car or something. fantastic. I liked it so much that I made an 8-wide system version, if you'd like to check it out.

It's true, that changing the speed is a little bit difficult, but the other cars had this feature, too. We changed it only one or two times. A gearbox would have been difficult and would have caused too much friction. Furthermore we had only one week to build, near university or a job. It was our first race, next time we will do it better! :) Thanks for the comments! :)
