Oka- Okapanokee- Okapanok---Okapanochie? Hard to pronounce....
About this creation
I don't know who, or how, I came up with "Okapanochie", but I can assure you, its a safe location. Spies would never be able to pronounce this location! And from this point forward, I'm going to abbreviate this place as "OK", okay? Good. Onwards.

So, what was supposed to be a routine, sort-the-sloped-elements-so-you-can-build-a-bomber, turned into a bit more. Amazing what happens.

Before you ask, yes, I was inspired by the great "Blast Off" by LukeClarenceVan. Boy this post has some long names attached to it....

The OK facility is a CS facility, convert from an abandoned American Missile Base in Missouri. This place has a high-powered array system that can broadcast orders up to 10 lightyears away. You can not escape work from OK!

Also sorts of paraphernalia. Why are there so many hard to spell words in this post?

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Didn't even use a dictionary. Officially.

The waterfall actually powers the entire station, including that 1000 watt microwave. Until some poor old spaceman tried to heat one of those TV dinners. He put it in for too long. Hence the third channel of water, there on the bottom.....

I'm running out of things to say. So. Uh. Moving on.

I tried to go for a color scheme using only a handful of colors. That's why I didn't bother with mist and spray from the waterfalls. Note to self: next time, build da spray.....

Ah yes, the spacecraft from the first image, the C-15 M.A.S.T (multi-purpose Air and Space Transport). Very cool thing, if I do say so myself.

Hmm, so there you go guys! Apologies for picture quality; I'm trying a new setup, and I didn't run any of the pictures through Photoshop (yet). Expect more Classic Space themed stuff in the coming days and weeks as well; and remember, its "i" after "e" except after "c".

Thanks for watching!

Like how you kept a flat piece design, and how you made it on its side!

Nice overall shaping and design, but I feel the rockwork is a little simplistic; the use of unique pieces like wedges and curved slopes, some set at angles and such, would improve it a lot. :D

Oh good, i'll be looking forward to that :-) I might post a real treat some time tomorrow, i just need to do some photography first! I don't have a flikr account by the way, sorry :-)

Quoting Builder Allan Cool! It is a really nice bit of landscape, but it does look a bit plain. You are right a few extra details would have added to the finish. Fortunately, Those can be added! Oh, also very nice humor. I'm almost beginning to expect a good laugh when reading your posts nowadays :-)
Thanks Builder Allan! This was a test run, so I can see how this technique turns out; hopefully there will be more posts in the next few months ;-)

Quoting Thomas of Tortuga The SNOT is very good! It needs a little more texture, but the shaping on the waterfall is excellent.
Thanks Thomas! Hmm, I suppose texture could use some work; I was really aiming for a clean look. Its okay; I'll be trying something like this again soon (or possibly later)....

Quoting Alex Sonny I love how detailed it is on such a small scale! It looks like one big facility, expanded and incorporated into the rockface. The CS craft are awesome too, instantly recotnksable!
Thanks Alex! I planned for it to look like something hewn out of the rock face; I'm glad I succeeded :-D

Quoting Maxime MaxSamAlex Great scene you have there, it takes a little time to realize it's actually on its side. Like the humor, but if it can broadcast messages 10 light-years away... wouldn't the receivers of that broadcast get it... 10 years later? Anyways, physics aside, nice scene, keep on building!
Thanks Maxime! I suppose its kinda difficulty to see that it's sideways; I don't own nearly enough green or blue tiles to cover an area like that :-D Well, you see, what had happened was, it doesn't actually take 10 years. So, you see, it sends it on a parallel signal that travels past the 3-D dimension by small black holes. These black holes have a specific coordinate, which is unique to each vessel in the CS fleet. So, there ;-)

Quoting David FNJ Nice scene here! I like the flowing water. Nice micro ships as well! Great build!
Thanks David! I'm glad the water looked alright! The micro ships were last minute, so its great to hear that they did look good!

Quoting Alex Rode I hope this is still to climb many likes, because it's deserving. I like how, rather than going extravagant on the water, you kept it smooth and simple. Rocks are great - well done!
Thanks Alex! I'm glad the colors and stuff all have their own look to it :-) Unfortunately, even though I was expecting a lot out of this, I doubt I'll even reach 25. The homepage error, among other things, has left me with, sigh, a dud. Ah well, better luck next time ;-D

Thanks El Barto! The ship was built, of course, thanks to 4est Feller's micro space builds. Thought it would be fun to try out ;-D

Quoting matt rowntRee Love it! Thank god that spaceman wasn't heating up a Hot Pocket too long, there'd be nothing left of the facility. The industrial look is completely cool along with the spacecraft. Excellent!
Oh yeah, Hot Pockets are a real menace. We lost the first Jupiter Station to some Cadet warming up a Pepperoni and Banana Hot Pocket; something to do with the preserved bananas reacting to the molten cheese..... ;-)

Quoting Vladimir van Hoek Its not OK, okay? I love it! But do listen to yourself - beside the gobbledygook - and build a spray! (yes, I used the googleictionary for that one, sue me, I had to learn Dutch first, and our words can be really, really long...)
Thanks Vladimir! I do intend to build spray next time, I won't forget ;-) Thanks again, and that must've been the most effort someone has put in a comment on one of my creation :-D
