About this creation
The Tourney

Bracket: Foot Combat

Category: Hammer and Tongs

Destrian was on his way to inn during his stay at Carthal for The Tourney, but along the way, he encountered one sketchy fellow who wanted to prove to the rest of the townspeople he was a better warrior than anyone. Destrian wanted to back out and hurry away, but the man had already engaged him. Unfortunately, Destrian wasn't wearing his magical red yoga pants (he couldn't afford the more expensive speedos yet).

They had both drawn their swords. Destrian decided to not attack, and just wait for the man to, he had no intention of hurting him (yet).

They man swung, and Destrian blocked, but the man's swing was hard and swift and--

--Destrian,s sword was knocked out of hand and landed in nearby tree.

Destrian decided that if he was unarmed, so would his opponent. He aimed a successful kick towards the man's hand and the sword flew out, grazing a bush--

--and landing on the ground in front of a woman.

Destrian was getting annoyed and anxious to leave. He delivered a swift jab towards the man's face, knocked him backwards.

The man however, returned the favor with a kick to Destrian's midriff, consequentially knocked him back too.

Destrian decided that he would try to gain the upper hand and take to the roofs, where he thought his opponent would have much trouble reaching him. However, he needed to get up there quick before the man, also taking chase, reached him.

There was a small construction site for a small new roof in between two buildings. A large beam held up a rope holding a box of construction supplies. One end of the rope was attached to a small hook, keeping it from falling. This gave Destrian an idea.

He took hold of the hook and removed it.

Instantly he began flying upwards as the weight of the box on the opposite end of the rope pulled him down.

It smashed down on the ground knocking over the man.

The crash startled several townspeople.

The man began to scale a nearby building. Destrian had not expected the man to be able to do parkour so well.

He pulled himself over--

--swung from the beam--

--swung again on a bar holding up a lamp--

--and landed on another wooden beam.

Destrian and his opponent urged towards each other.

They locked fists, but--

--with his free hand, Destrian delivered a blow to the man's jaw.

And another punch...

And a final blow to the head rendered him unconscious.

Destrian took the man's unconscious body down and set it against a large rock.

He turned to leave, exhausted, and hoped for a long bath at the inn.

Quoting Kai Bernstein Can't believe I haven't commented on this yet! Great build; the FP mountains look a little funky, but I love the main section! (Oh, and I think you meant "surged" towards each other, not "urged". :P)
I did, but I'm too lazy to fix it. Thanks, Kai! The mountains looked a lot better in real life, these pictures do not do them justice!

Quoting David FNJ Great entry! I wonder if taking out the light tan plates would make the ground look better, I dunno. Anyway, I really like the textures of the buildings, and adding the mountains in the background was neat! Offsetting the olive cheese with the dark gray like you did on the one building was a nice touch.
Thanks David! Great to here from another judge!

Quoting Stephen Boe I drew a lot of inspiration from Assassin's Creed.

Quoting Alex Rode And, I must add, you took a much more honorable approach to the category than I :P
Yeah, I thought killing him in the middle of a city would be too extreme, not to mention he was already in wanted in Mythron for being falsely accused of killing a government official.
