Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX, Wing Commander Kaj Birksted.
About this creation
Here is my version of the famous British Spitfire. The model is, like my other aircraftmodels in scale 1:40. Denmark was first given its own Spitfire after World War II had ended. But during the war, a few Danish pilots flew in RAF service. The model shown, is representing the Danish Wing Commander Kaj Birksted (1915-1996), carrying his initials of the side. The story of Kay Birksted and other Danish pilots can be seen on spitfire.dk

Hi there Hendrik. Do you have the LDD files of your airplanes, and the Morris Minor 1000? Thanks.
I only share instructions (files) for my creator alternatives. But you can copy most builds, simply by looking at the pictures. Its a great challenge, and makes you use your imagination to uncover the things hidden.

The cockpit, wing machineguns and the landing gear are details that make this a superb design! The aerial behind the cockpit adds a nice touch, and the rest of the plane is spot on, nice camo too!

Nice! I like how thin and graceful the fuselage looks. Also, the white underneath is a nice detail.

Wow, a great MOC of my favorite airplane! Nice work on the shape of the wings, the cockpit glass is really good looking. Love the plane, awesome job!

wonderful job! just one thing.... could you make it bigger?
Thank you for your comments. I find that a scale 1:40 is very suitable for these models. It is big enough to make a decent detailing, and small enough, since I have very limited Space available for storage, but I do not exclude, that one day I will build a larger scale model.
