I have finished it. One week, two brick link orders and a lot of swearing, but I have done it. This is the mighty McLaren P1. This is my favourite McLaren, and is also my favourite to win the hybrid hyper car showdown between this, the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918. I just want to say that you really should try building a P1. It is really cool and difficult to make. Lots of photos are below for you to see. So, enjoy...
About this creation
Front

Side

Rear

Top down (what a sight...)

DRS Wing activate!

Butterfly doors

Interior is cool and modern

More inside

With the spoiler removed, we can 'lift the lid' on the engine

A Twin-Turbo V8, mated with an electric motor to create 903BHP...WOW!

Front details

Here is the back with the spoiler down

mmmmmmmmmm...dat back end

Couple of artsy shots

Front again

I figured I take some photos of the family together

Butterfly doors activate

I want an 1:18 scale P1 so badly, but the cheapest is $600....(gulp)

And a top down view to finish. So was it good? Is it what you expected? Do you think I could do better? Why am I asking so many questions? Thanks for looking. If you can, pleas rate and/or comment...THANKS!

You are incredible!!! This is such a hard car to build but you have done it so well. If there was a 6/5 option, I'd click it. But there isn't, so 5/5!

Hay, Davanchi M.! Sorry for not saying anything about your creations in these last 2 months, I've been completely busy and out of time to check MocPages. Hope to be back soon. About your P1: Incredible car. Man, you made it instantly recognizable and with the same colors as Senator Chinchilla but the construction technics are lot different, I loved the rear specially and the solution for the doors is perfect. Excellent job!

Awsome model, the front is rally nice! 600 dollares for a 1:18 replica?? Well in some toy shops here in Portugal there are those scale replicas of Bugatti, Mercedes, and those cars and their price is around 30/40 euros.

That is pretty good. I mean very interesting ways of attaching pieces here, and they did their job of making the creation realistic! Although it looks kind of odd at the back, overall I think it is great!

Quite very good work. You used many different building technics and some parts of the body work are very good. I really like your interior and I know that it is very hard to build a P1, but there was another P1 on this page which looked a bit better. I do not really like the spoiler. It looks too heavy. But overall it turned out well and I do not know if I could do it better.

Finally finished, and wow! The results are fantastic! Great function too! I love your models as well, I collect models, I want a 1/18 Aventador Roadster but the ones I found are £800 at the least! Anyways, great work!

the scale and the car makes this a very tricky. and with you skills and some swearing, you've pulled it off. nothing ever goes right without some swearing...
