Middle Earth Lego Olympics Round 1
About this creation
My entry to the 2014 Middle Earth Lego Olympics.

The category I chose to represent in this build is Gollum's riddle for time;
The thing all things devours; birds, beasts, trees, flowers; gnaws iron, bites steel; grinds hard stones to meal; slays king, ruins town, and beats high mountain down!
(Answer: Time)

I chose to build this scene from the third Lord of the Rings movie. The reason I chose this scene is because not only is Osgiliath a once mighty city that in time has been destroyed, also in this scene Pippin sings a song for Denethor called 'Edge of Night'. This song strongly relates to time and how, as Gollum says in his riddle, time devours everything.

Captain Faramir riding to Osgiliath in an attempt to please his father Denethor.

A close up of the orcs. The pale orc (with the Yezang face) is my attempt at Gothmog, a ruthless orc general.

Some side views.

A close up of Faramir.

Some more interesting angles. I really wanted to make this build fairly movie accurate, so if you've got the time please tell me how I did.

A parting shot.

Thank you for viewing, and a huge thanks to the judges of the MELO for putting on this contest.
