About this creation
This is my updated f-16 i did a few things with it and i think the overall turnout wastn that bad.Fist of all i updated the armement by puting fins on all the missiles and making a gatling gun, second i narrowed the fuselage aroung the cockpit and i also change the canopy to a bubble canopy.I also fixed the landing gear and the wings. This was a really hard moc to build for one reason its minifigure scale and since its mnifigure scale i couldnt get in as many details as i wanted unlike moc page builders Ralph Savelsberg and Alex who dont build minifigure scale are capable of adding more detail to there aircraft making them the best on moc pages. Also building non minifigure scale is somthing i may switch to in the future but for now i want them minifigure scale so i can make dioramas with these aircraft in the future:) ......Also if you didnt know the f-16 is my fovorite jet so im very proud of this creation and very jealous of Ralph....just joking........i will be uploding more planes in the future like the f5 tiger f4 phantom and some ww2 planes so check back in soon thanks......and please review or rate.
AND YES THE PICTURE ABOVE IS AN F-16 THAT I SAW AT THE OTIS AIRFORCE BASE CAPE COD AIRSHOW 2007 THAT I WENT TOO. I ALSO GOT TOO SEE THE US AIR FORCE THUNDERBIRDS:)
The Tunderbirds are awsome huh?! Any way I love your Falcon. The color scheme is spot on and the weapons really made it good! I've always love the F-16. I cant imagine what it looked like with out a bubble canopy. =)
I really appreciate the time and effort you obviously put into this craft. The decaling and armament are my favorite, and the landing gear kicks butt. The nose seems a bit big and too long, but im just being nit-picky. great moc, good job.
I always say I'm going to build an airplane when I see your MOCs, but I never do. Oh well. I can't wait to see your new MOCs, and I'm glad you changed the cockpit design, as I thought that would make it better.
all you need to make is landing gear doors and the vings at the end need to be moveable they are the airbrakes of the f-16 trust me i got to look into a real f-16 and turn the vings
and the pilot dosn`t need to turn them if he`s busy looking after some mig-planes don`t beleve me go to wikipedia and check it out.
I love this. I know what it's like being a 13 year old lego geek who loves military aircraft (cof, cof). So then.... THis is great. Much better then what I have done (I only made a bad 1.0, so...). Great job!!!
i love the radar on the front and the cocpit.
my version was inspired by yours!
i will udpate a second version of the plane
soon! see it on my page.
(sorry about the speeling, because on the Brazil we write in portuguese, very diferent than english)
A lot better! The cockpit area is much more accurate and it looks better armed. As far as Alex's comment on landing gear, if you go to Ralph's Brickshelf folder he has a picture of the main gear of his Falcon dismantled from the rest of the body that might be helpful. If it's not there I can e-mail it over. Nice work, Keep adding planes! -- -- Michael
The material Ralph Savelsburg and I use for our canopies is flexible plastic which you can buy at hobby shops. If you do buy some make sure you get very very thin plastic or crafting the canopy becomes impossible. This is a definite improvement over your previous falcon, the sides of the canopy are the major improvement, but the new weapons are also very nice. My only advice that doesn’t involve buying new lego would be to make the landing gear un-retractable. Although it is a nice feature, removing it would make the side view look a lot less bulky. Alex.
what can i say, this is what you are meant to build. good job this one really is quite detailed. and color work is still outstanding.
oh and i just noticed the cockpit peices, i might use that on some of my ships...
