USS Missouri BB-63
At long last, Prasad Heavy Industries is privileged to announce that its newest project, the USS Missouri BB-63, is finally, at long last, complete.
About this creation
As with all my 1/350 scale builds, I would like to first dedicate my build to the men and women who serve their local community, as policemen, firemen, and paramedics. These are people who are willing to literally risk their lives to protect their community, and we should always be thankful to them.

Now, let's move on to the build......

Look at the Mighty Missouri, as it plows through this massive ocean of white cloth! Yes!

Our helicopter is getting closer.....

Ah, yes, look. The first of many things, the bridge! When I first started designing this model, I thought that I would just put some glass plated underneath those angled plates; but because of the shaping, it would look pretty.....shabby. So instead, I toiled until I came up with the bridge you see now. Okay, let me take a break. Enjoy the next few pictures...

You can see some of the hull. Hullo.

This is that part of the ship, you know, that one, yeah. That one.

So powerful, look! It's causing ripples in the actual sheet!

Started from the bottom now we are here.

Lets bridge the gap. I don't get it either....

In case you were wondering how I built the bridge. Yeah, I'm pleased with that bit, as you can tell :-D

Alright, so this is the section that is the most heavily armed aboard the ship. Since this is the 1980's version, there is a disco ball several 80's era weapons, all neatly sorted here:
1.x8 Tomahawk cruise missiles in box launchers
2.x4 CIWS Phalanx systems
3.x6 Double barreled 5in gun turrets
4.x3 Triple barreled 16in gun turrets
5.x4 or so Harpoon Anti-Ship Launchers

And one Heavily armed Ship! (sing in a "12 days of Christmas" voice)

A closeup of the 5in guns. To give you a perspective, a modern Abrams MBT uses a 5in gun (albeit a bit more advanced than this one). Oh, and there are 12 of them on board :-0

Ah yes, the mast, in all its MASTer appearance :-D Anyways, this was another tricky area to build in. Too many complex angles for a poor old ship builder to want to understand :-/

Hey! Be grateful! The NSA could be watching you with one of these instead of CCTV.....

A shot bombers will never see....

Da front antennae and da anchor. D'aw......

The next few images are my treat to all you all. Merry Christmas/New Year/Birthday/lucky day...

oooooooo kill 'em!

And finally, as a the bonus, here is my video, detailing the good ole Mighty Mo :-D

I would like to thank Tommy S07 and Einon for the assistance they gave during this project; you guys rock!

Thanks again guys, and Happy New Year!

Thanks all for this!

The superstructure is 10/5 and this is fantastic model! However the hull's edges are too sharp with the bricks at this scale.

Quoting Scott Bertaut Amazing build, its micro scale and yet it is still so large and detailed. I like the work on the weapons, the bridge is a very clever design. The tan tiles work really well, I've considered doing this myself on my next ship (in a few years), but I wasn't sure it would look right. Epic job!
Thanks man! I was also a bit concerned with the tan tiles during the build; but it seems to be alright :-D Though, if I came up with my own design of battleship, I would've used dark tan, or, better yet, grey on the deck ;-D

Thanks Justin! The carrier is still together; I don't plan on scraping that. I will have a separate post containing all three ships later on; I simply don't have the time now :-/ Yes, there is an IR receiver on both sides; they are connected to the motors...

Batttleships are my favorite warships. Sure, they have been replaced by the carrier, but they are heavily armed, armored, and can turn any other surface ship into swiss cheese with a single salvo from all nine sixteen inch guns. Who wants to trade good old fashion firepower with all of the high tech weaponry we have today?

Quoting matt rowntRee Yeah, but does it float? XD Sweet little boat you got there mister. All the detailing add so much authenticity (although a disco ball would be TOTALLY AWESOME!) The shape is spot on and the overall presence is intimidating, as it should be. Fantastic job! GO MO!
Heh, thanks Matt! Lets just say that early test on floating are.....inconclusive ;-) The thing that is striking about a battleship is the intimidation factor, and I really went for that on this MOC. Aircraft Carriers intimidate by size; battleships go for flat out aggressiveness, and I'm glad to hear that it looks like that on my ship :-D

Quoting P. Voranc Great work as always! I like the fact that you' ve chosen to build the 80's configuration which is something special already by itself and you've captured it perfectly.
Thanks P. Voranc! Yeah, the 80's version, in my opinion, is what really brought the battleship out of this vessel. The fact it could fire off anything from bullets to shells to missiles seems to really sum up the power of a BB. I'm glad this one turned out alright :-D

Thanks for the comment man. I just added the video, so if you want to check that out, its up there. The main picture is rather interesting; I took a photo of my ship on top of a blue foam poster board.
