Mizuhige
The old man of the sea.
About this creation
Name: Mizuhige

Element: Water
Titles: Elder, Hermit, Elemental
Weapons/Abilities: Ceremonial staff, Advanced elemental control
Alignment: Neutral

Many hundreds of thousands of years ago, before the Shattering, there was a tiny, unremarkable fish-like creature living in the vast depths of the Spherus Magna's Great Sea. For quite along time, it very slowly grew, in both size and intelligence.

Eventually, Aqua Magna was broke off from the world, and the creature was carried with it. Even so, life in the sea remained much the same. However, one day, the Great Spirit Mata Nui crashed into the ocean on Aqua Magna. The great tremors shook the central section of his body, and the Pit was shattered and released mutagen into some of the surrounding waters.

The creature, now not quite so small, curiously approached the source of foreign energy. However, what it did not know was the the mutagen was slowly being absorbed into it's cells. Over time, the increasing effects of the substance caused the being to undergo something similar to evolution.

Fascinated by it's newfound sentience, the being decided that it would set out to learn whatever it could about the strange world before it. After encountering other beings in a great sunken city and experiencing language, it also gave itself a name.

When Mizuhige discovered the energy source of the pit that was releasing the mutagen into the ocean, he also found that the high concentration of energy had bound his inner energy to the water that surrounded him. After much experimentation and practice, he became quite skilled at bending it to his will. He could even create a bubbling sheath around himself that allowed him to breath and move in a non-liquid environment.

As he grew older, he used his liquid manipulation as a tool to fashion a staff, which contained an elemental crystal to store energy. For many years, he devoted himself to a solitary life of meditating on his inner energy and studying the world in search of understanding what he had become.

When Aqua Magna was brought together with the other fragments on Spherus Magna, Mizuhige decided not to interfere with the affairs of the outside world, preferring to remain in the company of his fellow sea creatures.

Outsiders do not often see him, as he prefers a simple existence deep in underwater caves. However, those who have spoken to him have found him to rather friendly, but also aloof and distant. He is also known to be eccentric, with mannerisms that often seem alien. He is certainly very powerful, but he very rarely uses his power to fight.

(4th Wall:)
Well, it took me long enough, didn't it? But, since I have a new photo area and we actually had a sunny day for once, I was able to take pictures again. Just letting any viewers know that I am not quite dead yet and to expect a bunch of more MOCs sometime in the future. Until then, happy building and thanks for viewing!
