Mewwy Kwistmas Eveebudee! Today I have a sort of tribute to a bunch of my older MOCs. (hint hint: How to Train your Dragon) Plus, the trailer for How to Train your Dragon 2 is out!! Yay!!
About this creation

Here he is! Toothless! (Probably from the first movie, as he is not missing his tail fin)

A better look at the torso section. I took off the wings in this photo (mostly for balance)

Hind section. This moc is made mostly from bionicle parts, but it still gives a fluent look in my opinion.

Underside. Raar!
(sorry this photo is sideways)

Full wingspan: about 17 inches.

A close-up on the wing design. In my opinion, my best built wings yet.

down his spine.

I think some of you might want a close up on the head. I had a lot of difficulty with this on my first few toothlesses, but I think I come up with a pretty good design here.

KA BLAM! You thought it was simple, didnít you?

The last thing you see before you go boom.

The tail. Mini wing design belongs to Stormbringer.

Flying!

Well thatís all for now. Bye!

(side note)
I know I have been promising lots of self-MOCs/a new version of my self-MOC, but at the moment, I am not super interested in bio-mocing. I will probably get to making them, but for the moment, donít be super expectant.
Bye!

Quoting Lego Obsessionist Great exaggeration of proportions, love the legs in particular. Instantly recognizable!
Yes! you noticed! the proportion exaggeration was something i was testing for the first time. I think it worked really well!

Excellentay!! The only thing I see wrong is maybe add some black capes to fill the gaps in his wings. :D

Naw, you needn't go Official, for it - just scrap would do. Malgothiel's wings were from a $3.00 sheer yard of cloth from a local WallyWorld; I bet you'd need FAR less than I used, for this scale. Make rough stencil, stretch it flat, snip, and Fit. Easy. =) I like it as is, mind you. Cloth isn't one of those accessories I consider as having wandered into non-Purist territory: it's a pretty safe addition, especially in basic black. Anyhoo, just suggestions, anyway. Cheers!

Quoting Clever Crowe Good articulation, and nice commitment to shaping (while still working on that scale), some nice shape solutions - but I LOVE the innovative wing shaping. Thought of draping a little fabric across those to close? It'd 'peg' easily into place by inserting the axles through cornered pinholes. Just a suggestion. Cheers!~
Sadly, i dont own any of the cloth sails/capes... I tried minifig capes but it looked too clunky.

Quoting Toothless the Nightfury This thing is EXCEPTIONAL! Man, brillaint use of bionicle and bricks to capture the tricky organic look of Toothless! Yep, new trailer is out, so most people in the HTTYD fandom are in complete spazz mode! I really like your head design! Very unique, and it also allowed you to capture his eyes very well! There have been a lot of different head designs used for moc Night Furies, and it is always fascinating to see when someone breaks the mold and comes out with a new design. The wings also look quite good! I know they are not closed in, but they still capture a very dragonish look! Anyway, quite impressive! One of my favorites out of everything you've made!
Thanks so much :D I am in spazz mode as well :D :D merry christmas!
