Galaxus VI
Merry flippin' Christmas
About this creation

Well, it's a start...

Slightly better...

Yeah...

Uh...

Hmm...

Well that was weird, messy colour placement, over the top greebles... Not enough black...

Hopefully this one makes up for it...

So...

REVEAL!

Oh yeah...

Merry Christmas people! Now, off to die once more.

Later.

I think he looks really cool but i think you should give the cape back to Galaxus

Just gotta say something here. I just went through and looked at all the previous versions of Galaxus, including some other people's versions, such as Fenrek, and now feel drawn to comment on him. This is by far my favorite version. He just looks so sleek and deadly, but at the same time heroic. The only thing I'm sad about is that v4/v5 had very robotic designs that just screamed to have all sorts of gears, pistons and armor panels moving around, kinda like the Jaegers in Pacific Rim.....dangit now I want to see Galaxus go up against my Otachi MOC. Anyway, my only complaint/critique is that his design seems almost....feminine. Not in a bad way, it just seems slightly off to me, but so are some versions of my Self-MOC. Overall a very excellent leap ahead of the other versions.

Hello. So, after 5 versions of extreme greebling, this a breath of fresh air. You really stepped out of the box on this one. I've studied the Overlord Galaxus for years now. Each one has good aspects. The good aspects of this one are: 1) The thighs. They are very streamlined and sleek. 2) The heart light area. Very well done. So, all in all, good job. It's not perfect, but I've never seen a MOC that is. Personally, I'd like to see some jet boots and a darker grey (gunmetal?). Good job, Instant.

Looks less like an Overlord, more like a Ninja.

to be honest. i don't really like this version. the legs seem like somthing you would put on a female titan moc. i'm not a huge fan of the shoulder pads either, but overall it's a pretty nice moc.

I have to admit my first impressions weren't that good but it grew on me still don't think there's enough black though. :P over excellent though

Sorry Noodles, I don't want to bring you down, but V6 just doesn't look like Galaxus. All the parts fit together seamlessly so It looks more organic than armored (which is a really cool effect by the way, it just doesn't belong on Galaxus), and there's no cape. To be quite frank, in most of the pictures he comes off to me as one of those biker people who where the skintight shorts and shirt to be aerodynamic. And it does kind of look like he is wearing sneakers. It's a great MOC - it just doesn't look like galaxus. V4 or V5 is still my fav.

Great except change the feet make them flat use the inika feet or use some other piece those pieces make it looks like he has sneakers on

Okay, first things first: this is gorgeous. It's people like you that make me wish I had an inkling of skill with anything other than LEGO System models. Now to begin the downward-spiraling roller coaster of constructive criticism. :P For starters, WHERE'S HIS CAPE?!?! (Caps for emphasis. And shouting. Shouting works sometimes) The back looks amazing and all, but no cape? On Galaxus?! Heresy! :P Next, he's kinda... skinny. He needs some beef on those protodermis bones of his! Especially on his lower legs and feet. Third... ehh, that's all I can think of. :P Anyway, aside from that this is awesome. I desperately wish I could have life-size, metal, fully-functioning versions of all his weapons. And his arms are superb, easily the best part of the Galaxus VI over his predecessors.

Ah, I remember the day the being known as Galaxus first appeared on Mocpages, a good day for Metru Nui, I recall meeting him in a bar in Ta-Metru, I offered to get him a drink but he said he had no mouth, then Callan wanted one so I got him a thornax shot. As I left said bar I turned and saw a few matoran investigating a crashed green glowing space ship, no idea how It got there, and I wasn't allowed to give hints cause of the Order. So I boarded the 5:00 PM ship to Xia and departed, we would never meet again, not for the next 237 years. But I quickly glanced over to the bar to see a shiny blue guy fighting Callan for the last Nui cake. And that my friends is the glorious tale of a master builder from my perspective.

Wow! Wonderful blend of colours and the shaping overall is just phenomenal. The weapons are creative and well designed as usual. I do miss the cape, but I wouldn't want you to cover up that gorgeous back.

All in all, he has improvements. I kinda miss the cape, though. Every well-known MOC deserves some sort of over-the-top element. Just kidding. He's still pretty awesome :)

  December 28, 2013
This is incredible,a very risky move to depart from the old, known, design of Galaxus, but you did it stunningly! The body is smooth and its looks extremely humanoid! I love this!

  December 27, 2013
Beautiful, compact design! One of the best humanoid frames I ever saw. How about a head redesign to accompany it?

  December 27, 2013
Well...this is a surprise. He definitely looks a lot smoother now, and I like how you're not afraid to depart from the "traditional" look of Galaxus. I also don't see any problem with the colour placement (I mean, it makes him look like he has armour in specific places now, despite the fact that he's a robot.) BTW, does he have weight problems with those feet? Great job anyways! Oh, and be prepared. I've had some time in Singapore to think about how I want to make Galaxus.

  December 26, 2013
I like this smoothness of Galaxus but I think he needs more fingers rather than 3 and instead of the cape why don't you use the wings you once made for him.
  December 26, 2013
Slight rehash: I really luxe the look of the waist and if it could be combined with the old chest and shoulders with a proper connection in between it would look great.

I agree with LegoBob...the improvements are amazing(and he looks more robotic) but I feel he still needs to retain some black in the torso to pull it all together...but still he's torso, appendages, and as always, the head is spectacular, good job.

Looking back at all the Galaxus MOCs you've made, version 4 has always been my favorite. This new one is EPIC though! As many people have said, I don't think it quite fits the character. He needs the heavily armored lower legs and the cape. This design is AMAZING though, I love how you managed to make him on such a large scale and still maintain a thin profile. And the shoulder design is very unique! Just needs some fine-tuning, and I think you'll have the perfect Glalaxus soon enough ;D

  December 24, 2013
This is step into the right direction. I'm so glad you didn't used greebles all over the thing. Still is has still some but at least it looks good now. Good job Galaxus, it was about time ;D

The waist looks good. The question is, can he sit down without dislocating something?

  December 24, 2013
I think it needs the cape and a little more black and it'd be great. Also, the arms a little short. Other than that, this is an excellent MOC.

  December 24, 2013
That head does not belong on those shoulders, sir! After v5 I find this new version to be more of a down grade, sure it is a great build (minus those lime Nuva chests) it just doesn't fit galaxus when you look at his previous 2 versions. The missing cape, the changed legs, and the change of colors/proportions, make him look alien and unfamiliar and frankly just wrong, not bad, wrong. Galaxus' head just does not belong on this body, if this was something other than a revamp of galaxus it would be great, but it's not. Great build, it just doesn't fit the character.

Dangit, O.G.... *sigh* okay, can I try the 'Sandwich Approach', here? I have read a few comments below me, here, and they touch on something I also want to 'splain; I'm gonna do this Compliment/Criticism/Compliment, and 'sandwich' my way through your Review.1) I really think that pronounced dorsal 'hump' area flows well, down-turned points, greeble cragginess, all still really adds to the fig's back profile. Appears muscular. 2) I hate to say this; but I *wince* preferred the PREVIOUS (immediately previous) Shoulders to these. I actually don't mind the wingblades at all - but those green armorplates are too blocky a shape, and take away from what has always been an otherwise ergonomically-sensible limb design. Don't even mind the use of Lime in that area, just think the shape's a little jarring. 3) Saved my fave for last - Dem LEGS. Mister, that is EPIC work. Such closure, and so SOLID. Very MasterChief, with enough convincing closure all over to make me doubt it's LEGO, at first glance. Wanna be honest, and fair, to sum up - I went through similar feelings with one of the Hau-revamps I saw this year from another gifted MOCer. Respect, M8. Still a 4/5 from me. Cheers!~ =)

Hmm... after staring at this for a while i think i finally see the problem, the lime shoulder pads. they do not fit with the rest of the scheme, it throws off the colour layering as the rest of the lime green is used as an accent colour used in small chunks amidst another colour. i think to fix this you could either, A) somehow replace them with black nuva chests, (silver ones would tip the colour balance giving too much silver an not enough black) or B) balance it out by adding another lime green colour block in a mirrored position, so either in the shins or the feet, (I think the lower shins would have the best effect) so that these lime green colour blocks don't feel out of place. other than that i really like the direction you have taken galaxus. The colour blocking is very well executed and to great effect and combined with the sleek yet blocky silhouette gives the moc a very gundam feel to it, which lends itself very well to galaxus being a robot and all. i hope this sheds some light onto other peoples comments like 'Quoting Legobob 29 Cool! I think this is good, but I don't like it. Personal opinion and all. But it's certainly well-done! :)' its those shoulders man. great work though and i look forward to seeing more of your work

This is flippin' amazing! everything about it is awesome, especially how the upper arms and legs have a lot of black. Also, even though it sounds so simple, you're the first person I've seen to turn the little weapon connecter 90 on the bottom of his hand, it makes a little more sense than what everyone else does, if the top of the weapon is heavy, it won't fall forward and mess up the MOC's fingers.

Still feels like Galaxus to me. Probably from the head. Nontheless, disregard the others. The colour blocking looks really well done with the silver and black, and my only real gripe is with the sides of the ankles being exposed like that... The thing I have to love the most about this MOC is the knees. I'm in love with those knees. <3

Just as you said..slimmer and agile. While it's a change it feels like Galaxus went back to his roots and I really like that! Needless to say the color placement is excellent, much better than it was on V5. And that NEEDED to happen. The leg design is great, but I'm really going to miss the HF armor you had going on there, and it really needs ankle armor but I really wouldn't even know how to put it. The waist is fracking fantastic! The torso feels new but it definitely works out well. The arms are great, love the bulky shoulder aspect. And all together V6 is the best version of Galaxus, didn't really think you could top V5 but you did. Fantastic Work Noodles! :)

Quoting Cole Holmen The MOC itself is incredible, 5/5 of course! But, I'm not one to judge, but this doesn't really feel like Galaxus to me, and I don't even really know why! Anyways, love the moc, especially the lower torso!
Thanks man! I feel the same that this is different compared to previous versions. The previous were bulky and greebly, I went for a smoother and sleeker look this time.
  December 24, 2013
HeII yeah. I think he'd look better with some kind of ankle guard, but I know you were having trouble figuring that out, so until you get a good design down, this is excellent. I think one of the things I like about this version is that it's a dynamic poser. The other versions looked better when standing still, but VI seems to be more impressive in action poses and whatnot.
