Corsair M10 Class Very Heavy Fighter "Titan"
Finally, after a waaaay too long time, I manged to create a page for my Titan! If you know the original, don´t blame me for the weak wing curve, it´s the best I could come up with. Also, the colouring is slightly different, just to make it more interestng.
About this creation
Description:

The Corsairs' survival is rooted in their ability to survive and adapt, the "Titan" is no different. On the surface the design is somewhat visually similar to the M7 Class, however the power system is a revolutionary step forward and the armor rating is the heaviest available. This provides maximum offensive and defensive capabilities while still delivering speed and maneuverability. This ship is, in short - the one.

Statistics:

* Gun/Turret Mounts: 6/1
* Armor: 12600
* Cargo Space: 70
* Max Batteries/NanoBots: 71
* Optimal Weapon Class: 8
* Max. Weapon Class: 10
* Additional Equipment: M, CM, CD / T
* Price: 776,380 credits
* Level Req. 32

Configuration:

* 2x Class 9 Gun Mount
* 4x Class 10 Gun Mount
* 1x Class 10 turret Mount
* 1x Mine Mount
* 1x Countermeasure Mount
* 1x Cruise Disruptor / Torpedo Launcher
* 1x Class 10 Shield Mount

Sold at:

* Leon Base, Omega 41 system
* Planet Crete, Omicron Gamma System

Additional Information:

The Titan is the most expensive ship in the game. Though the slowest-turning, it boasts the best armor rating and the highest Nanobot/Shield Battery capacity of any VHF. It is also the only fighter that comes with a Class 8 Adv. Protector Graviton shield, the strongest obtainable graviton shield in the game- as the Eagle and Sabre are sold with class 7 Graviton shields. It should also be noted that the Titan is about half the length of the Eagle and has about the same wing span, effectively making it relatively smaller than the other VHFs. However, the turret mount on this fighter does not face forward, so this ship has less firing capabilities than the Sabre, but it makes up for it with increased armor and Nanos/Shields capacity.

Now, on to the pics:

The front, I tried to capture the downwards curved wings as good as possible, with my skills.

Classical 3/4 front shot.

Seen from the side, it is quite a short ship! But still, the large wings offer some good area to be hit!

Classical 3/4 rear shot.

Rear view, I love those massive engines!

A good view to see the custom colour scheme.

Trent and another freelancer standing among the Titan. An impressive ship, isn´t it!?

Cargo door, another feature made up by me. In the game the model has just a clean hull section, here.

The same problem as with the cockpit. How the heck will you ever get up there for loading and unloading?

The cargo hold, for a fighter not bad!?

Magic trent appears out of nowhere in the cargo hold.

Engines from down below, you can also see some tiny wing greebling and the Countermeasure Dropper under the right engine housing.

Close-up of an engine.

Top side of an engine housing. Again, I made up greebles and vents instead of a plain area.

Now we get to the front section.

Love how the windows turned out! I tried to stay as close to the original as I could, this time.

Trent in control.

The back seat. All Freelancer fighters are single seaters, but I didn´t know what else I should do with the space...

Cockpit without the figs. Sadly the construction didn´t alow more controls for the pilot.

Class 9 weapon mount, with the class 9 EMP gun 'Tizona Del Cid'.

Class 10 weapon mount, with a class 10 artifact weapon 'Guardian'.

Another Class 10 weapon mount, with a class 10 artifact weapon 'Thor´s Hammer'.

Type 'Hornet' cruise disrupter, you could also mount a torpedo launcher, here.

The other Class 9 weapon mount, with a class 9 gun 'Salamanca II'.

The useless rear-facing class 9 turret. If the designers only included an auto firing mode for that weapon...

BONUS PICS, YAAAAAAAY!

Main image in widescreen!

Fighting action!

Travelling through a jump gate/hole.

Thanks for watching!

Quoting eric s the bonus PICs tip this MOC over the edge of coolness. people are creating models for mods of the game, which is cool, but this is REAL -- and it's LEGO. this ship is by far the coolest Freelancer MOC and well appreciated. an extremely nice build (& scale); perhaps i'll contribute to the universe myself by your inspiration!
Thanks, for the nice comment! Yeah, this baby rules over my LEGO-shelf and it feels great to have it there for real. It would be cool to see some more Freelancer stuff, from another builder.

The game is called "Freelancer" It's an older space simulation, but still fun. All information on the ships, weapons and stuff is taken from: www.freelancer.wikia.com

Yeah, I the revolver is such a classical greeble. I've always wanted to use it on a ship. I'm glad that you like the weapons, making them look interesting is not always easy! Thank you!

G'day mate! Yeah that tail is cool, I really like how this turned out. But, I think I have to rebuild my other very heavy fighter, the Sabre, it is way too small next to the Titan.

Quoting Mike Johnson Sorry Marc I don't know anything about the game but your build looks great to me. I thought this was a new GAIA ship. By the way your cargo hatch is a great personal touch to the design. In any event, bravo my friend, bravo!
Yeah, the cargo hatch fits perfectly, there. Sadly enough that I have no new GAIA ship coming up next. I could only come up with an updated Lughnasadh Fire, nothing big. Anyways, thanks for the kind words.

Quoting Ron L. Mitchell While I have never been a fan of this ship you did a fantastic job in recreating it. Nicely done!
Hehe, same with me. I just bought it once in the game to see what this baby can do. It didn't convince me though. Too slow, and no forward facing turret - a waste of firepower. My favourite is the Sabre, although I never had a chance with it in a player vs. player fight. Still, I like the massive and menacing look of the Titan a perfect pirate ship, imo. And the shape was a nice building challenge! ~Cheers, buddy
