About this creation

some_text

It was an average night for Drawoc, Orfdor's governor. He sat at his desk, writing a letter to an upset "Wealthy Snob", as he called them, who was sure that they had been cheated on their taxes. The fire gave him just enough light to write, and enough warmth to hang his maroon coat on the rack.

Then the door knocked. Odd, as he was expecting no visitors at this hour.

some_text

He looked up from his paper and asked, "Who is it?"

"A messenger, sir. I have a message from the governor of Worsan, sir. Seems to be urgent, sir," came the reply from the other side of the door.

"Well hurry up then."

some_text

"Sorry it's so late, sir. I was instructed to deliver it immediately, sir," the messenger said apologetically as he entered.

Drawoc grunted, and nodded for the boy to set the letter on his desk.

some_text

He wondered what the letter could possibly contain that was so urgent. He hadn't heard from Nottulg in years. He hoped it wasn't about sending soldiers to aid Rainos. Drawoc didn't have any soldiers to spare, as his were all being used to keep order on Isla Norte.
Calm yourself, he thought, Nottulg is too lazy and greedy to help Rainos. I shall just have to read it and find out.

He began to panic as he read it, and near the end he had to stop.
What's happening? I am going to lose everything I have worked for! Oh my, I could even die!" His face drained of all color when he read the final line.

Just then, someone knocked at the door; four speedy raps.
*knock*knock*knock*knock*

some_text

Drawoc gulped, and nearly fainted. He forced himself to ignore the knocks and read the final line of the letter.

His vision began to fade as he read it, and he thought,
who is this sorcerer who knows the very future?

some_text

When he could see clearly again, a masked man with a drawn sword stood in front of him.

"Too afraid to even open the door, I see," the man spoke. I was just loud enough for Drawoc hear.

some_text

As the man approached, Drawoc considered trying to flee, but soon realized it would be futile. He would have to just listen to the man and agree to do whatever it was that he wanted. It wouldn't be the first time.

"You have been the governor for 11 years, and for 11 years, this city has suffered. You have given in to any man who threatens you, every person who has offered you power, and anything that will insure your own safety. You are truly a coward. I should kill you now. But how is killing a coward any better than being one?"

Drawoc's teeth chattered as he listened to the man speak.
I must leave. I must leave before he changes his mind!

some_text

The governor fled from the room as soon as the masked man made it clear he was done speaking.

It is a wonder that man remained the governor for so long. Perhaps it was because he was too much of a coward to make any enemies thought The Masked. He sighed. I shall be needing a new governor then, I suppose.

Alright, time for me to officially announce the...

Ofdor Ruler Contest

What is it?
This contest is for members of Enalica to compete for the right to become the ruler of Orfdor, a city in the Lands of Mythron.

Can I compete?
If you are a member of the Lands of Mythron and of the Enalican Faction, you may compete! If you are not a member of the group, check it out here. If you want to join the faction so you can enter the contest to rule the city, check out the faction here.

Is there a points requirement?
I previously stated that you need 10 points to enter. This still stands. To get 10 points is very easy. All you need to do is post you character introduction for the LOM group, and post a Tourney Intro for the contest currently hosted by the LOM, and BAM! 10 points right there.

I think that covers everything. The contest challenge is this:

"We need to know how loyal your character is, and whether he has the qualifications to be the governor (ruler) of Orfdor. Show your character in a desperate situation in which he manages to emerge on the top (successful, the victor, etc.). Be sure to show his loyalty to Enalica some way in the story."

You have until January 7th. This gives you 3 weeks, which is plenty of time!

Quoting Gabe French Hay Caleb, just wanted to let you know that my entry to the Ofdor ruler contest all built, now i just have to post it, i hope your like it, i'm going to burn a boat!
Awesome! But remember, you still need 3 points for it to be official! The best way to get those points is by doing the rank advancement! That puts to exactly at 10 :)

Quoting Harry Wilkinson Erm. Ermmmm. Awesome. Don't know how I can compete with this in ANYTHING. I also thought that the name of the city was Drfdor, pronounced Drifter. If it stays Orfdor, I may stay out of this(unless I get bonus points).
I know. I was a bit disappointed. When I looked at the old map and the new one, I realized it was a typo :(

@Harry: As far as I know, the name was originally supposed to be Orfdor on the old map, but I misread it, then made a city thread and a moc set there, so everyone else got confused. I also think Drfdor is cooler :)
