About this creation

NYPD 71st Precinct

Detectives Snow and John Russo were testing possibilities from yesterday's case, which was a robbery-turned homicide. Or so it would seem.

(Previous Episode Here)

Russo found what he was looking for in the data base.

"Fred Scully, he works at Streamline Water and Air Flow. He has a few traffic violations, other than that he has a clean record."

"You think he has something to do with it, don't you?" Snow asked.

"Not really..."

"...but what a coincidence! The guy repairs the water heater right next to the safe, and fixes the toilet up in that bathroom, and I still think something is missing from that cabinet. It would be a great way to scout out the apartment and could be used as an excuse for the fingerprints all over the place."

Someone cut in.
"Hey, guys-"

It was Detective McNeil. Kinda a loud mouth.

"You here about that police station shooting in Virginia?"

Snow's expression darkened. "Yeah, heard it on the radio this morning. What was it; one guy with an assault rifle killed half of a small town police department?"

"Take a look," McNeil said as he gestured toward the paper.

Small Town Police Station Attacked!

By K.P. Felton
A gunman entered a police station in Marshall, Virginia and opened fire on the officers present, killing 4. Local police Chief Donald Caffrey commented...

"This is just nuts!"

"But that guy better be packing more if he comes charging in anywhere else! This has everybody hyped up!"

Snow turned back to Russo.

"As you were saying?"

"I have his address, maybe just meet up with him, ask a few questions, get some fingerprints.'

"What if he refuses?"

"I don't think we'd have too much trouble getting a subpoena."

NYPD 1 Police Plaza, Deputy Chiefs' Office

Deputy Chief Daniel Paluska was in a heated argument over the phone.

"You want ME to DELAY police response?"

"Do you realize what could happen to me if I were caught? And you know I'm doing other stuff for you too, right?" He paused as the other caller responded. "Yeah, like that's reassuring."

"Just keep me out of this as much as possible. Leave me alone." He paused again. "Oh really? Well that's just great. Just get the job done, tell me when it's over....Thank you, goodbye."

Brooklyn Parking Garage

A man stood reading a newspaper.

He brought it down as the people next to him disembarked on the elevator.

"Are you there?"

A man stood a few levels below.
"Yes."

"Do you see anything?"

"Here they come, right on schedule."

"Uh, we have a problem."

"What is it?"

"They have explosives."

"Let them proceed, they won't kill this guy, but I hope they know what they're doing."

"And I hope you know what you're doing too. Tell me when."

"Understood. I think those two just arrived."

The elevator doors at the back of the garage opened.

Two men stepped out.

"Hey, Zito!" the older of them said.

Zito turned,"Hey, Frank. Anything new?"

"We've got a new car. I would've left it for Michael or somebody, but this was of more personal nature."

Zito laughed," Oh, I get it..."

Not too far away, a bodyguard was having a smoke by his SUV, when he noticed something out out of the ordinary-

"Huh?"

...very out of the ordinary...

"Look out!"

The gunmen amassed by the concrete wall checked their weapons.

"Fire!" one of them shouted.

The grenade launched-

-and landed in an SUV.

Everyone dove to the ground.

"What was that!?"

One of the other bodyguards got up-

-quickly took in the situation-

-and took cover behind the other vehicle.

One of the men drew his pistol. "Dad, stay here!" he commanded Frank.

BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!BLAM!

Frank began interrogating the young man and Zito, "Why are you guys carrying?
I've got body guards! You know how bad it would be if you were caught!? And you especially Carl, being my son!"

Zito ducked as bullets bounced off the car.
"Now is not a good time, Frank! And honestly, I never leave home without it when I go making arrangements for us!

The body guard returned fire-

-striking one of the hitmen in the hand, forcing him to drop his weapon.

More shots were fired...

...

Zito was down.

The man in the corner still stood watching.
He spoke into his earphone, "Alright, go! I'm going to start taking them out."

He opened fire with his silenced pistol. "Shots fired."

A bullet hit one man in the neck.

One of the others was surprised, "What the?"

"Look!"

The two were quickly eliminated.

The final man ducked down, not sure what to do next.

He was quickly taken out. There was silence.

Carl peered over the top of the SUV.

"What just happened?"

The body guard turned "I don't know, I didn't hit all of them."

Frank shouted with alarm as a man in a suit swiftly approached the bodyguard. "Look out!"

He struck him in the head and threw him to the ground.

Turning to face Carl, he ordered "Drop the gun!"

His partner appeared.

"Do as he says."

"Put it down, son. You can't win these people," Frank said to Carl.

Carl, a little more than displeased, started complaining,
"Cops, right? We were just defending ourselves, and now you're gonna point guns at us?!"

"Carl, shut up!"

{Little did they know who they were actually dealing with...}

Ignoring the family feud in front of him, one of the mysterious men spoke into his earpiece, "We're ready for pickup."

"Come on, let's move!"

...

The body guard woke with a large lump on his head.

He slowly rose to his feet.

He picked up his gun. He didn't have a clue as to where his boss and his son had gone, but he had to get out of here. Fast.

He shoved the gun into his pocket. Wearing torn clothes splattered with blood and oil was suspicious enough.

He made a break for ramp up to the next level and to the street.

He stopped. Someone was coming.

He hid behind the concrete divider.

A parking security officer stood surrounded by carnage. "Holy sh-"

"Get me backup on the basement level, and some buses too! Something serious has happened!"

The body guard climbed over the wall. He had get out of here before more people showed up.

"Sir! Are you alright?"

The body guard started to run.

"Sir! This is security!"

The officer followed the man out of the building.

...

Marshall, Virginia is made up, I don't know if it is real but it is not intended to be.
