Day 18's door is open and we find (thanks to LEGO's collectible minifigures) the ELVES busy at work preparing for Christmas! The first one we see is the mechanic elf busy putting a race car together! The next elf is painting an airplane! The next elf we see is busy gift wrapping the presents, with rolls of wrapping paper and tons of bows! Also each elf has their own face and we spot a female elf as well! I had fun creating or recreating the presents; like the train and the airplane, the doll house, the sled, the sailboat, and adding LEGO stuff like the teddy bear, the ice skates and the roller skates and a toy Ninja soldier as well as the baseball glove! A bottle of apple cider is on the tool counter and each elf has their own color coded mug! The Christmas tree is a redesign (MOD) of a tree I got on ebay - the original designer is: ronarizona20052009 ! And its picture is at the end of this MOC. Note I added lights, made the tree bigger added a different star and added more Christmas Balls! he knows about this and he got a preview of it! This one I had tons of fun doing. I kept the "candy cane" look and on the reverse is the Christmas Wreath signature to keep it in tune with all the rest! there are more things to discover so have fun with this one! This lead to me creating a bonus Christmas MOC in this series (posted after Christmas) - THE GIFT SHOP!

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 he, he, I just KNEW you d buy more than one elf, xd, why did nt you build a giant holiday background for the occasion? and I figured you d do a bigger tree too, xd, you still have a few weeks to do so, I love the tool stand, and multiple props laying around!
If I did a bigger tree it would look too much like ronarizona's so I opted to improve and make his taller and fuller and once again SCALE was the order of the day! I love the fact you noticed the details I put into this one "the props"! As for the background...two things...if you wait to see the final product you hopefully will see the work as a whole may not need it, secondly If I only had the money, I'd love to have this presented as the MOCs are in exhibits full scenes with snow on the ground and trees hiding the highway and streets! It's like I even thought of doing a parking lot but just how far can you go? One of my art teachers taught us a good artist knows when to stand back from his/her work and say to themselves: IT'S DONE!

Another great scene! The variety of toys is fantastic, as is the color scheme.
