Doctor Forgen V1 (and the Exo-Box)
It seems that anyone can be a super villain nowadays, considering how one simple Ta-Matoran was transformed into the oddball that is Doctor Forgen.
About this creation
Ohyk (Doctor Forgen):
Doctor Forgen, a Ta-Matoran who once went by the name of Ohyk, is an egotistical maniac. Constantly constructing faulty weapons and miscalculated schemes, Forgen poses more of a threat to Racta Magna than most people assume of him; if he is aided by advanced technology and a clever ally, Forgen can prove a formidable foe. What is his desire? Power? Money? Revenge? He doesn't mind. Just as long as he gets the attention he always wanted.

Ohyk was once a timid Ta-Matoran tinkerer, living on Racta Magna. He loved to construct machinery, making small automated contraptions. His friends encouraged him to persue a career in mechanics, praising his talent.
However, as Ohyk's ego grew bigger by the minute, he tried selling his contraptions to big organisations like the Order of Mata Nui or the Dark Hunters (He didn't care who he sold his products to, just as long as he developed a name for himself.) Unfortunately, he found no business. He only gained negative feedback and rude comments in return for his efforts. Ammature inventers turned out to be more common than Ohyk realised.
Ohyk refused to believe that he was untalented, and failed to accept defeat. He adopted the pen name "Doctor Forgen" (He does not have a Doctorate, he just thought the title "Doctor" sounded cool) and started to design weapons and tools for himself. He decided to use his 'talents' to help protect his fellow Matoran. The only problem is that he seeks to destroy every Toa which might do his job for him.

Doctor Forgen is currently working on a massive project; after building this, he hopes to have the same level of raw strength as any Toa, prehaps even more.

Here is Doctor Forgen by himself. The figure himself is tablescrap standards. What comes next is the main part of the MOC.

The back. Yep, nothing to see here.

See, Doc F. Isn't too intimidating by his lonesome.

Good job he allowed himself some upgrades.

Here is the main focus; the Exo-Box!

Before you ask: This is not directly influenced by the HF "Invasion from Below" sets. I had come up with the idea for the MOC a while before even the names were released. I had originally designed the cockpit as a failed WIP for one MOC. I decided to build the Exo-Box based off of this, going for more of an Exo-Force feel than a HF one. But I notice the HF ones look very similar to this, and I'm aware of the Mech craze that's going on because of it. I'm not trying to be a part of that, I just make what comes to my mind.

However, saying that, the Paw-hand idea was directly and honestly copied off the HF sets, I'm afraid. Purely for the sake of seeing if the design worked, and also if using Barraki eyes as fingertips would work too. Not the best stuff in the world, probably won't use that again, just a little experiment.

By the way, this guy can turn 360 degrees... making up for the fact that Forgen himself can't move his neck. Just thought you'd like to know.

The back.

Potential version 2? :P

Compared with one of my other MOCs, the Jankori. I think we all know why I put these two together; Still, I will explain below.

Let me elaborate;
The Exo-Box, being a Mech, is so obviously a Jeager from Pacific Rim.
The Jankori, being a monster with an underwater theme, is undoubtedly a Kiaju from the same film.
Meaning that I am undeniably copying the story line of Pacific Rim, because obviously Pacific Rim invented the idea of Mechs and Sea Monsters, and anything with either a mechanical suit or with a giant sea monster is a complete rip off of Pacific Rim.

That seemed to be the general feeling about this whole stuff, if the feedback on "Invasion from Below" Is anything to go by.

I have not seen Pacific Rim, so I won't criticize the film itself, pretending that I know anything about it. However, I want nothing to do with that film, because in all honesty, hollywood films about the American military saving the world from Aliens tend to be really trashy, and the fact that the film seems to be set in Japan kinda tells me that the film is just going to re-enforce steryotypes about non-Americans, which as a resident of England, I can't condone. I might be wrong though; it might actually be a really good film, but I have heard no arguement to support that. The only things that people seem to praise are the action scenes, only encouraging to stick to my beliefs about the film.

Anyway, sorry, I don't wanna turn this into a rant about Pacific Rim, considering that most of the people who see this are likely to be fans of it.

Bottom line, I want nothing to do with the film, and I had no intention of copying any of the characters or themes from it.

Doctor Forgen and the Exo Box separately.

Yeah, Any members of the Council of Toa involved in the "Sentries of Revenge" roleplay will remember Kunar, my next MOC.

For the rest of you; I will be posting a guy called Kunar next time.

That's all folks!

I like your idea of Doctor Forgen's personality! Nice mech too, It could use more of a boxy look, because of the boxy cockpit though. I just love mechs! Especially this one!

Nothing better than a tiny Matoran with a huge Mecha! Love the system you put in it too :D Good stuff!

Quoting L.A. Miranda Para-pa-pa-paaaaa I'm loving it <3 Do you know that I have actually discovered why didn't I see these awesome things from you? I DIDN'T FAV'D YOU. I deserve a good punch in my eye. Oh well, that's solved now. To the main point, this beautiful box with legs, arms, lights and a small Matoran. First, as always, my cons: I find the armor at the back (canon included) a bit weird, and I think that you can cover the holes of that brick at the side. That's it. THAT'S IT. Do you understand? I don't see that much bad at this, so that means this mech is reaaaaaly nice. I have seen a lot of mechs with Matoran pilots but, to be honest, this is one of my favourites, it has a lot of charisma. The great amount of lights can be exagerated for some people, but they look actually very nice; and I love the cannon arm and the look Forgen (a very cool Matoran design, by the way) has in the seat. Even if it doesn't has custom work on each of its parts, this MOC looks great and I love it, dear. Great work! <3
Whoa, I'm glad you like it so much :) Yeah, interesting about the lights, though it was designed to be over the top, they did end up looking quite nice! I will take the whole pinhole and back criticizms in mind. Thanks for the comment, friend!

Oh, by the way: about Pacific Rim, it's awesome due to the animation, the fights, the mechs, the monsters and because the main character is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita in the Japanese dub xD But that's it, you will like it if you see it for the fights. Doesn't have much more, actually...

Lovely creation you have made! I especially like the integration of system in the overall moc. The Doctor F. also fits well into the mech, and that just puts the icing on the cake for me.

Quoting X ~ @Garrett Yeah...it's about time... :P Anyway... Nice Moc Werty! Dr. Forgen is pretty nice and he looks pretty cool too. The mech though steals the show here...but I won't hold back on any of my complaints you're about to hear...but trust me they are just minor nit picks.. 1.Too blocky...like seriously...it's too blocky. 2.Disproportionate... That's mainly a nitpick, given that mechs are not always meant to be humanoid...but I do like humanoid mechs over non-humanoid.. :P 3.Back Side... It looks like you just put a bunch of random parts on the back...and it looks pretty weird to say the least. :/ But yeah..those were mainly them... :P Anyway...nice job! :) (And just a hint of warning..one of my story archs kinda is like Pacific Rim...but it's only PR for like one battle sequence but it has more story than PR ever did..and that's why I posted my mechs. :P)
Thank you for the helpful comments, they will definately be incorparated into a future revamp which seems inevitable. And about your story, I have no issue with it; You could do whatever, I am sure you can produce a higher quality of story telling than most Hollywood Films (It's not as hard as one would think)

Quoting Toa Chains Nice! Love the mech design! Also love Doctor Forgen. BTW your not missing much from Pacific Rim I think it was mediocre at best.
Glad you like it. And yeah, I have very strong suspicions that that's the case, but I'll never know until I see it, if I ever bother to.

Quoting Stormjay Rider Heh. I was a mech-building enthusiast a year before I ever heard of Pacific Rim. Reassurance aside, I'd have to say that, should this MOC be rebuilt, it needs to be rebuilt to look more--mechanical. That, and the overly large difference between the BIONICLE legs/arms and system torso, is why I can't bring myself to like this.
That is a fair point, and something I had been thinking about myself, I may add a little more system to it, or maybe just straight up HF pieces, because that was something on my mind too.
