Millennium Falcon
About this creation
I was inspired by Flail's version of the Falcon as a lot of other people were, and I really wanted to do my own. When the 2011 version came out, I knew this was my chance to do it justice, while the new one had most of the main features it needed for younger children, I thought it needed more interior pieces. I would like to give credit to Flail for making an amazing mod to the most recognizable ship in the entire Star Wars universe. Most of the interior is based off Flails design, but I have also put in my own designs to fit the newer ship's layout.

Notable updates:

  • Replaced a few of the 3x12 wing plates with several 2x4 wing plates to fill in a lot of the gaps on top.

  • Redid the whole bottom so not to show the ugly framing and give it a more rounder appearance.

  • New feet, making it a brick taller

  • New boarding ramp, with "retracting pistons"

  • Wider mandibles, with greebles.

I hope to one day install some LEDs in this. Better interior shots coming soon!

Small anti-bat turret like seen in the Empire Strikes Back

How the figures fit: enough room for 3 heroes

Cockpit controls flip down to fit figures in

Inside view behind the cockpit

Mandible Greebles

Cargo hatch: useless space LEGO made, so I decided to make the hatch flip up so Han could smuggle some cargo

Underside of the Falcon, with some much needed detail which the original lack. This really added some weight to it.

Quad cannon controls.
While I liked how LEGO had designed there's, I thought I could improve the design with the figures sitting more up right and a much better controls

I love it! I agree with you in the sense that a lot of what was built into the Original LEGO model just wasn't right. When I built mine, I also rebuilt a lot of the exterior, especially the underbelly and landing gear. Unfortunately, that was before I knew about MOCpages.com and didn't take pictures. This inspires me to revisit the Falcon when I'm done with my Enterprise projects. Again, Great build modification.

Quoting Michael K. Fantastic! I like the turrets. I agree with him. PS you can fix those distorted pictures by swapping those 2 three digit numbers near the end of the encoding for that picture.
Thanks! That really helped me out!
Quoting Pieter Vanden Meersschaut Nicely done! At first I thought that this was just aan ordinairy set, but then I saw all the details you have changed. It looks a bit like the UCS set but smaller
Thank you! I don't mean to toot my own horn, but looking at it from a distance I always felt it looked like a UCS set too. ;)
