About this creation
My next MOC has come! It has been hinted to be coming in past MOCs, and here it is! My largest and best MOC yet, methinks. :D

Anywho, brace yourself for a LOT of pics. Over 60 something.

Faction:
Outlaws

I walked down the path towards the scent of burning wood in my hometown, Lakeside Village - a small town not known to many, other than my greatest enemies, who often attempted to raid the town and kill me. Luckily, in Lakeside Village, we are almost all trained and can handle a few Mythronian guards. Also, I am normally traveling, so raiders rarely come. My trusted friend Bratham and my new accomplice called Thimel trailed behind me.

As I walked down the path towards the fire and my friend and mentor named Gramahk, I noticed several things that had changed since I had last gone. First was the man dressed as a Mythron Assassin spearing fish in the water.

The next was the wall being made. Though "wall" was a relative term. It wasn't much different from a pile of wood, obviously incomplete.

Another was that the young spy we had in Mythron territory had turned into a beggar - the folk despised and mocked in this town. His hair had grown long and shaggy, covering one eye. His cloak covered his entire body. His name was Gard.

The last was another new fellow. This one was quite relaxed but scowling. He was warming himself near the fire beside Gramahk.

Gramahk turned and spotted me. I rushed towards him and met with a short embrace.

"Old mentor!" I said to him, joyful to see him after such a long while. I had been busy raiding Mythronian and Enalican ships with my own small but professional crew on my own small but strong boat.

"Carnys!" he cried back, his voice gleeful. I smiled at him. He was as friendly and jolly as ever.

I nodded to the man in the river.

"Who's that man?"

"O! He's a new citizen to the town. Betrayed the Mythron king and came here looking for a place to hide and have shelter," Gramahk whispered in reply. "Don't worry, I'm sure he's on our side." I nodded, trusting my friend's word.

As Bratham seated himself near the fire, Gramahk studied my pillaged Mythron naval uniform.

"Got that off on of them naval commanders, eh?" Gramahk asked. I grinned and nodded. "Suits you good." He looked at my face. "'Bout time you got back, mate. We've missed you."

The I pointed to the wall.

"What is THAT?" I questioned. Gramahk laughed.

"Ah, just out unfinished wall to keep Mythron out."

"It's gotten far, I see."

"And what happened to Gard?" I whispered.

"O. That. He got in a tangle during the battle after being discovered. Put up a great fight, but they locked him up. Went mad," Gramahk said grimly.

I shuddered. Gramahk seemed to predict my next question, though.

"That's Hartomius, the new Outlaw recruit. Came up here three weeks ago." Hartomius nodded to me. I repeated the gesture in return. Then I looked at his face again. Something about it was familiar - NO. No, it couldn't be. It was a mistake. It had to be.

I glanced back at Gard. For a moment I saw nothing different about him. Then I saw it. I almost collapsed.

Back at Hartomius. It had to be. I could not be mistaken. Gard had obviously been killed by Mythron or was still in prison. This was not Gard. And Hartomius...I knew that he was the founder of Nerogue, Darvainian. And Gard was Halbert there was no mistaking it.

"Gramahk! Bratham! RUN!" I screamed, but it was too late. Another voice roared,

"NOW!!"

I whirled, swords drawn. The others were stumbling to their feet.

Three Mythronians were charging at us. One I recognized as Filberth, Halbert's loyal companion.

While all the others charged to meet the soldiers, I made right for "Hartomius." I saw "Gard" rise in the corner of my vision. I ignored him and focused all my attention on Darvainian.

I crashed into him and found myself pinning him to the ground, swords at his chest.

Behind me, the battle raged. One Mythronian charged Gramahk, but my mentor had it under control.

He fired an arrow and it buried itself in the man's stomach. He gasps and struggles for breath. I realized, too late, that I had been ignoring "Hartomius."

He kicked me away and I tumbled to the ground.

I lunged back, but he grabbed a spear and slammed the butt of it in my face.

I fell back, and saw the assassin charging over towards Darvainian. Unluckily, he fell over the dead Mythronian and crashed into the water. Darvainian grinned, and I took advantage of that.

I kicked him away once more and charged.

I was stopped short as Bratham crashed into me. Halbert had kicked him away. Gramahk turned to Darvainian, but didn't see Halbert coming.

"NO!" I screamed, but it was too late. Halbert stabbed him in the stomach and he collapsed.

I stood and barreled into Halbert. I pushed into the water, but he grabbed hold of my torso and yanked me down with him.

We both fell into the water.

Meanwhile, the assassin was engaged in combat with Darvainian.

Bratham raced to fight the Mythronian captain.

I pushed Halbert beneath the waves and rushed to help him. I noticed that Thimel had been killed and Filberth was lying on the ground also, but still alive. I bit back a curse.

I ran directly into the captain, shoving him to the ground. Before he could react, I drove my blade home into his stomach.

I looked up.

The assassin had defeated Darvainian. The elf was on the ground, panting..

I looked at the scene. I felt something twinge in my heart. Was it triumph? No - it was pity and sadness

I stared at the elf's panic-stricken face and the assassin's malicious sneer. I made a split second decision and charged.

I crashed into the assassin, slicing my blades towards him.

I knocked him to the ground with ease. I had the element of surprise here. I slit his throat and knocked him into the water.

"CARNYS!" Bratham roared. "What do you think you're doing?" He began to charge.

He slashed at me, blades flashing.
I knocked him to the water, taking care not to murder him.

But before I could react, Halbert had stabbed him and driven his body beneath the waves.

"NO!!!" I screamed at Halbert. "THAT WAS MY FRIEND, YOU IDIOT!" He looked calmly at me and said,

"It was for the better. Since you helped us, he would've killed you. Shows you what barbarians Outlaws are."

I sat down. I knew he was right, but I still was angry. My best friend...gone.

Darvainian said to me,

"Come! Join the Nerogue."

I looked at him, incredulous.

"You want me to help you? After what I've done?" He sat down.

"Yes. We could use you. You have nowhere to go now, after all." He stood again.

"I'll let you think. Just follow me, and I'll lead you to our base."

He strode away.

I surveyed the wreckage of the camp. He was right.

I looked back at the water. I had lost a great friend and a possible future accomplice there today. I never wished to see it again.

I saw Halbert help Filberth up.

"You coming?" Halbert called, smiling at me. Quite a change, after he called me a barbarian.

He and Filberth slowly walked away. I looked after them.

And followed, knowing that my life would never be the same.

Quoting David FNJ Great build! Awesome action! @Halhi - I actually didn't know anything about this... Anyway - this would be fine as long as it wasn't Darvainian because...well...I was just in Worsan. If you change him to another elf (that isn't anyone in particular, just a Nerogueian general or something) then it would work. In the future, please notify me in the crossovers thread or something, then I could make a temporary group so we can discuss what would happen that would make sense according to our locations and what things each of our characters would actually do. Don't get me wrong - this MOC is great! The action is really well done! I just can't see it fitting with what Darvainian would do. Just switch it to some other random elf leader since Elves have been known to join Nerogue. If you'd like to do a more official crossover, I'd love to! Just let me know when and we can get started once The Tourney is done :)
Yeah...Sorry about that. :P Thanks for the comment.
