The Ruins of Skara Kikos
An adventure of Indiana Jones not quite worthy of a movie.
About this creation
Too little people build Indiana Jones Creations, I decided to stray away from the crowd and do so! Hope you like it!

The Build itself started with me working on the function of the temple rising up and down, I then built the rest of the scene around it, sadly its not really an Entry for any CCC categories, though it might find its way into among the Miscellaneous entries page. Took me about 2 weeks with a interruption of rebuilding a Death Star PlaySet that I barrow from a friend.

To God be the Glory!

that rock formation on the right that is connected with hinges is something I've never seen before. Very, Very, VERY creative rock-work there.

If there was a sixth star, I'd use it on this! Wonderful job! I personally stink at landscapes. I lack both the time and resources to build big things. I really love the temple that rises out of the water!

Quoting ~ Brick Awesome work! However....the water looks a bit blocky, the way that only light blue is on top of the temple. I would suggest putting some light blue in parts of the lake that don't rise, or just have it all covered in normal blue. Other than that, this is really amazing! The tress and rock work are very great, and you're getting better at landscaping! ~Brick
The point of the accent on the shallow part of the water was to let on that the temple is there, essentially a silhouette. I felt that the lake was so small it would be hard to have shallow parts around the edge while still keeping a good portion of it deep looking It would also require more water pieces which I don't have the money to get right now :P Glad you like it! Thanks a lot for the criticism, helps me improve :D

Woah, this is incredible! The vibrant colors really caught my eye in the thumbnail. The landscaping is incredible! The rock formations are stellar, and the ruined pillars are some great PU. The function is just perfect... so smooth and well-coordinated! Brilliant work!

The rocks are just awesome. The foliage and ruins are also nicely done. However, I think the only flaw is the waterfall. I think it would look better with a translucent clear color and I agree with Gilbert, it shouldn't be that flat. Still, very well done!

The cliffs and the plants are excellent, especially at those angles. The waterfall is a little flat, though.

Quoting Dayton Lovelock Great job! This reminds me of a moc someone else did but it was a stop motion and not a moc. I love Indiana jones so its great to see one of the themes final mocs.
You mean this guy: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/359812 I got the general idea of a temple rising... Mine is pretty different though. Nice Catch.

I know I shared a few thoughts over on Flickr, but this post has more pictures to study, so I'll share a few here too. This is tops, man! Any build with working play abilities of this caliber makes my head spin. Absolutely fantastic! And the use of the tire on the mechanism's handle is a clever additional idea!

I think I figured out how you made the ruins raise at different levels, but I would love to see an inner mechanism. The entire build is lovely, if I were to see this at a convention, I would ask that it be remote controled just to give it an even cooler effect.

Eves' comment is a good one, seeing as that much of a mass would surely cause the water to go up a few inches. ;) Anywho, Grant, you've surpassed most of us by a few good meters. ;) (Me anyways. :/ ) Well done, this is pretty much... Yeah this is all the way-top notch. :D Well done!
