The R-23 Arrowhead, sucessor to the R-22 Spearhead. My entry into the 1st MOX Space Superiority Fighter Contest. It was a coincidence that last digit went from 2 to 3 and so did the engines! To improve the performance of the Spearhead a third engine was added. Agility jets were moved from the rear hull to the tops of each foil, to give the Arrowhead hyper agility. Similar to the other R-22 derivative, the A Wing, stronger cannons with aiming sensors are added to increase fire power. For longer range strikes, photon torpedos are used. The launcher is located on the front underside of the hull (you can see the circular launcher in the frontal photograph with the launch door open). A droid socket was added with a droid, to assist the pilot in hyper space jumps and repair the craft.

The A-wing was always one of my favorites. What you've done here is fantastic with the engine array. I love the little winglets, they give it an air of credible maneuverability. Excellent!

It is one of my most favorite SW designs ... great job :D Simple, but refined and well conceived.

An interesting expansion of the original, the engines are nice. Perhaps you could have pushed it more in the front, where it almost looks like a stock set.

Check out Ralph McQuaries original R-22 design (it's blue),the nose section is flat like that, and to touch on the expansion of that design, and not have confusion with the R-22 successor the A Wing, I kept the original nose.....

Quoting Tim C Cool build, Kevin. It looks like it came right off George Lucas' design table. I like the sleek design and the black cannons. It adds a nice color contrast to the whole. Great work and good luck in the contest.
Thank You!
