2013 Builder Triathlon: Round 1: Frankenstein and his Science Experiment
This is my entry for J-rod Smith's contest 2013 Builder Triathlon. The category I chose: 3. Blowing Up Buster: Show a scientific experiment going horribly wrong; with the result being an explosion! It could be anything from modern day science, or it could be from Ancient Egypt! You decide the timeline! So I chose Frankenstein. Good luck to all the competitors!
About this creation
This is Dr. Frankenstein and the monster he created. Now, I don't know about you, but Ive never seen the movie (If there is one), so this is from my brain, and not from any movie. I tried to make everything look dark and evil looking.

There's Dr. Frankenstein getting kinda frustrated after a candelabrum fell onto his giant table (of sorts. Also, I put a bottle on the table that fell and is pouring out black liquid, which is starting to explode. Now, don't ask whats in the yellow ball, I seriously don't know. I mean, I know that its a couple lego red studs, but I don't know what its supposed to be. Maybe a heart.... I really don't know.

The candelabrum that just fell onto the table. Something Frankenstein did NOT appreciate. ;)

And now.... Frankenstein's monster! I put blue fire as electricity shooting off the top of the table.

On the front of the table, I built stairs leading up to where Frankenstein's monster is.

I really like the sides of the table. The silver plates add a really cool.... something, I guess.... an evil, creepy look to it.

The walls of the room.

Another candelabrum. I like the spikes on the bottom and top.

The table was kinda fun. On the left corner there’s no leg, so a skull has been set on the floor to prop the table up.

Another view of Frankenstein.

Frankenstein and his monster.

The build without the figs.

Thanks for viewing! Good luck all you competitors! :)

Yay! Here's the link to the group!

Quoting Mr. Cab Really nice! Though I don't understand how the experiment went wrong (which is what the category says). Anywho, I love the two tables and the candelabra. Nice job.
Well, I don't know a whole lot about Frankenstein, just that his monster didn't turn out the way Frankenstein thought it would. So I guess that's what you could say went wrong. With everything exploding, that was just some stuff I wanted to add in.

Quoting J-rod Smith Awesome! Great job on the minifigs! I do wish there was a little more detail on the floor, but otherwise it's great!
Thanks! I guess I didn't really think about the floor so much. At least, not a whole lot. In my later creations, I'll look out for that. Thanks again!

Quoting Zach Lucia Feeling lucky punk? First entry! I quite like all of the little touches, and the candleabra is a gem! There are some minor problems though. I don't like the black floor. It should have been brown. I don't think the lack of SNOT is such a bad thing though, just as long as it is all non-SNOT(what is with the flat black peice?). Other than that, great job!
I'm not a punk. How could I feel lucky? This is the first time I've ever entered in a contest. How is the candelabra a gem? I didn't have any dark brown plates for the floor. And if I used the light brown plates, it would make it look less evil. What flat black piece are you talking about? There are a lot. I thought it would look cool to SNOT the table that Frankenstein's monster is laying on. But I believe some think otherwise.... no matter! I'll try to do better. Thanks for the comment!

Quoting David . Nice one, love the torches! (Or candelabras, whatever you want to call them. ;) ) Good luck. :D
Thanks! Yeah, I couldn't think of the word for it. I'm trying to get the link for the contest as soon as possible, but it doesn't want to work. :(
