A large display built for the 2013 Salt Lake City Comic Con.
About this creation

Well, it has been over 2 months since I finished and de-constructed this build. But, I would still like to post some proper documentation of one of the largest and most rushed projects of my short Lego career thus far.

This build began as an idea to build a large and accurate Arkham Asylum based on the popular Arkham Asylum video game. I played through the game and spent time looking at which areas, locations, and scenes I could build from to best represent the game.

As the date of the Comic Con came closer I realized that I was missing many of the bricks I would need to finish. So, with only 3 days left I finally began construction. Yes, from start to finish this build was done in 3 days. I literally had none of the cathedral done with about 6 hours until the show. That being said, please keep in mind that I consider this to be an extremely rushed build, and many of the proportions on the main building are off. I am defiantly interested in coming back to this project and re-building with proper pieces and time.

Because of having to survive 2 long car trips some of the bricks are not pressed completely down, and I apologize. Also, the photos are quite un-finished, and that is why I have recently replaced my camera. ;)

Thanks for looking, Enjoy!

Quoting A M Hey Kyle, I had a quick question for you. Those sloped bricks you used so well here: the ones that are like this: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=85&itemID=11057 but have a slope coming off the side... you used them vertically a lot, and there's one near to the left of the entrance bridge... know the part? How did you acquire so many? I haven't been able to find them on Bricklink, and the same goes for their smaller version (the ones that are only four studs long). They're quite useful and I'd appreciate any help you could give me on getting some :)
I believe this is the page you are looking for. -http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=41748 -http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=43710 I have only ordered a few from Bricklink, and the rest in my collection just came from various sets, bulk boxes, and etc. If you need any more help just let me know. :) -Kyle

This is great, it's really awesome. But unfortunately it's been overshadowed by Xenomurpy's Asylum here, unfortunately. -Ess-

Nice, Kyle. Really like the composition with the building offset, and the circular format. Great job on the rock work, too!

Shame that Xenos being posted at the same time as this will probably take away the glory it deserves. Awesome, job Kyle, really stellar work here. The Base of rock-work is incredible. Now excuse me, I must go on a quest to find my jaw.

Wow. Despite of all the issues you mentioned, this is stellar. The combination of the irregular base, awesome rockwork, sweet landscaping, texture, and colors make this one of your best. I am loving those vines. Fantastic!
