About this creation
I left the forest with the strange fruit and knife in my backpack. Wandering across a desert, saw a river in the distance. When I got closer, I saw that there was a man cooking a chitinous creature over a fire.

Walking as quietly as I could, I made an attempt to sneak up behind him.
However, luck was not on my side. A serpentine beast sprang up from the river. Poison oozed from its green beak and I feared that it would bite me before I could pull out my knife.

Almost instantly, the main jumped out, grabbed his bow, pulled out an arrow and fired it. He hit the beast dead-on. The creature's spine stiffened and it hung there over the leaves.

He walked over to me and introduced himself as Trent Reht, a huntsman in the area. I realized that his name was on the list I had been given.
"I also happen to be a very experienced highwayman. I've been tasked with helping you learn the lay of the land so that you may better serve our faction and giving you your first few tasks."
"Good."
"We'll be ambushing a small procession of Mythronian soldiers guarding a treasure cart. We'll be assisted by two more Outlaws. I must warn you, though, that if you attempt to run off with any more than your share you will be shot through the head with an arrow."
Nodding, I thought about the speed with which he dispatched the serpent, and felt a cold sweat break out down my spine.
As we walked off, I noticed the sign on the brick wall around the barrel - "arms for the poor".

Build notes:
This used up what was left of my brick yellow (or whatever the tan color is) pieces as well as all of my 1x1 trans-clear water plates (not round ones) and almost all of my foliage.

I'm hoping to put in some Bricklink orders for actual castle pieces that I need at some point. I'll also try building a tree or three for the next thing.

Again, my photography is...not very good. If you have any specific tips for photography, they'd be appreciated. I'll be trying another lighting source on my next creation.

I see nothing wrong with the pics, it must be because your scene is filled with parts, it s very intricate, you might have left a clear path to clear it up to get the effect you wanted.

@Kai/Jeyo: I've actually treaded a dirt path in my neighbor's yard. If I make it big enough, I can shart shooting my MOCs in it.

Alright. Tips on good phototaking! First, get a good camera. Second, take it back a get a better one. third, set up some lamps in front of a white background. Take pics. Booyah.

Quoting BobaFett2 As in going outside and then photoshopping the background out?
I just leave the background scenery in, as you see in my character intro. Depends on the type of outside area you have, though; my backyard is really wild and so is good for nature/wilderness mocs.

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus Hmm... How is "tan" called? Probably not tan... Maybe brick-yellow? Hmmm... Sarcaaasssmm...
I actually meant a different color, the dark tan...which is actually called Brick Yellow. That's the official name.
