Colt M1911A1 (Improved)
Here's my 1:1 scale M1911A1!
About this creation
I'm back with another gun! This isn't the first 1911 I've built, but I felt my previous designs just weren't very realistic. With plenty of experience in building 1911s, I decided to take another try. And I'm very proud of how it turned out. I focused on realism and detail, but I managed to include a spring-loaded trigger and a moving safety. Also, the grips can be changed to customize the gun.

I'm not sure if I have a picture of that (this was destroyed long ago), but I'll dig through some picture files and see what I can find.

Quoting Caleb S Does the hammer move? and is the safety a grip safety?
The hammer does move. There is a safety on the left side which moves, but the grip/beaver tail safety does not move.

Quoting The Winter Soldier Great attention to detail. I like the fact that you have different grip colors to choose from, as it adds a personalized feel to it. A piece of advice for you: Use flat bricks to cover up the studs that show for the grip. It would look even more realistic that way.
The main reason I left studs on the grips is to give them that textured look, and so that they wouldn't be too thick. Thanks!

Quoting silly productions i cannot get over how perfect this is! you captured every detail so perfectly, i love the safety/slide lock or whatever that is thats behind the handle, im not much of a handgun expert, but that part was the finishing perfection of this creation! looks exactly like the real thing! i would have loved either this or the AK-47 to be judged in the contest, they are both perfect creations that in my opinion blow away my versions of them by a long shot!
You may consider my 1911 and AK nicer than yours, but I could never build something like your Barrett!
