I made some tiny edits to these guys.
The first one is mini-jets on Lewa's ankles to broaden them out a bit and make them look better. The second one is extending a peg out the back of Lewa by about a half that Tanma can peg onto.
Had another go with photo-shopping them too.....not good I know.
Haven't made a revamp for a while and I recently saw the Phantoka Lewa's mask on a moc I viewed so I took to remaking him.
Primarily he's fairly basic, torso is nothing new and neither are the limbs. The head doesn't have a custom skull behind it as I found it a bit too difficult to make for this one as they eyes never looked right through the mask.
The big difference here is the upper arms. Due to me wanting to keep the shoulder jets that Lewa had, I opted to integrate them rather than just stuck out the sides. It kinda backfired as the jets connection is indeed integrated and basically holds the upper arm together but still looks like it's just plugged onto the side.
Due to my lime hand connectors being fairly old, they've lost a lot of the friction that they once had. They can still hold the arms in poses but a Midak Sky Blaster proved too heavy for this moc to hold so it was discarded. Lewa now just has his unique sword.
Like I've been doing with Bionicle sets that had partners/companions, I decided to do Tanma. He is fairly rubbish here as most of the good parts were put onto Lewa. The large black thigh parts connecting the knee can be overlooked but the feet have too much black on them., I do have those parts that construct the feet in silver, just not enough to spare on Tanma without degrading Lewa.
Overal not one of my better revamps but I think it's still passable. Now I have both heroic and villainous pairings from the Phantoka line revamped with Lewa & Tanma here against my more successful Mutran & Vican.
Pretty nice! I really like your take on them, especially Tamna. Personally, I think Lewa could use more lime, but I still like your version. The only thing I could say is that his shoulders are a bit too beefed up imo. Great job with the forearms and the legs though!
Well done Fenrek! Very nice detailing on both Tanma and Lewa :) Yeah, the lime hand connectors do get kind of floppy :P I suggest using a bit of black sharpie (or whatever color) on the ball joint before you connect the hand, it helps fix up the issue with friction. :)
