M2A1 McChrystal Main Battle Tank
What can I say? Groundwarfare is a really fun area to build in....
About this creation
Now you see, what happened was, yesterday, I was approached by the chief liaison officer of procurement, guy, from the US, Britain, Germany, (basically the NATO countries). They requested that Prasad Heavy Industries to invest in the design of a new MBT that would be standard across all Western Nations. Naturally, I agreed.

So, during the designing phase, I had many different inspirations, such as this.

The McChrystal was designed on top of the Abrams tank. However, there were, many, many different changes, including the name.

I'm sure NATO (or at least the US) will be interested in this feature: it can clean a grill! Sorta.

The engine on board is Diesel V20, with a KURS system as well. This makes the M2A1 a hybrid, like the Prius!

As you can see, the work on the turret is one that can only be accomplished by a TFOL with a bunch of LEGO parts a top engineering firm. Obviously.

Weee! I mean, ahem, the tank is designed to operate even in the most hostile conditions.....

Surprise Postman Pat!

Hmm. On the road to no where!

Excuse the shoddy background; the program went over budget by a good, ehm, 30 US cents, so PHS couldn't afford a proper backdrop....

Check out those tail-lights! Bullet proof as well! You know you want those.....

Top Gun. Get it?

Now, this is what sets the M2 apart from any other tank. Instead of two different machine guns for the loader and tank commander, the tank features one remote controlled double auto cannon! It has its own round radar in front of it. Also, the M2 has much, much more sophisticated radar systems, thanks to the large light bley piece with a sphere on itnew infra-radar system developed by Prasad Heavy Industries, the Global Scan. Hawk. Thing.

Now for some "heroic" shots!

No touching this!

Thanks for watching!

Heh, I though it'd be fun to abuse my power some :-D Well, I suppose, yeah, this would be damaging to others in DA; that's why you make friends in the PHS ;-D

Quoting Matt Bace Great looking tank. I am going to have to agree with what a few others have said, though -- the gun definitely needs to be bigger. Take a good look at an M1A2 or a T-80/90, or even a Tiger I/II. The main gun barrel on all of those tanks is over 5 meters long, more than half the overall length of the tank itself. Some Soviet-style rocket launchers on the sides of the turret would be a pretty cool addition as well. In any case, this is a very good effort, especially for your first attempt at a tank.
Thanks for the advice. Indeed; in fact, I really wanted to add some missile launchers, like on the Bradley, but my BL order didn't come in on time, so yeah. As for the gun, well, after adding a 2x2 round brick on the gun mantel, it looks much better. Next time around, I'll add another axle bushing, or connecter.

Quoting Zach Lucia Amazing military build as always! The only thing that was better than the tank was the commentary! And on the U.S. budget? I am surprised it didn't go over the budget to build the tank!
Thanks! Yeah, Zach, well, technically, we went off course by about 30 US cents, but, you know, compared to Lockheed....

Quoting manthanboeing MAD Good stuff! I agree, it does need a bigger Gun and a muzzle break, you might also want to make the gun mantlet and the front of the turret, a bit more..... angled. Other than that, good stuff
Thanks! Yeah, I see now that the gun area could use some more work; I'll fix it up on my next tank....

Quoting lone wolf Awesome first tank! It looks great, but there are some things to think about for a possible 2nd version: the gun mantle looks weak, making the gun vulnerable and a tank that can't shoot is a dead one. The hatches don't open. suspension (if it already has it, show us). The name sounds like a type of cheeseburger. and please, bigger gun! And it needs a muzzle brake. That should about do it. Seriously though, this looks pretty cool already. You've inspired me to go work on my Main tank some more. :)
Thanks for the comment. Lets see: yeah, like I said, I'll work to a stronger looking one on V2; I just wasn't sure how to make it flow. Hatches? I dunno really. I'm not a big interior-minifig guy, so maybe, if I can fit it... Hey! The name is after a US general! And yeah, a bigger gun. Had I spent five more minutes looking for more of those little, cylinder things, I would've had an improvement. A muzzle brake was something I could have added, but I wanted the open cannon look, so. Overall, though, thanks for the suggestions, and I will use them in my next tank :-D

Quoting Claw Paradox Good for one of your first tanks! I'd change the gun mantlet design, and the front tread covers, though. Nice work!
Yeah, that gun mount was a bit off for me. I should have used a 2x2 cylinder piece to make it flow better. But hey! Its a trial ;-D
