MO ROUND 3 JACOB HUUPI VS. DAVID
I didn't think about this category much cause it sounded simple but after a day at church I knew I wanted to do this. This is a build of the scripture Luke 23:13-24 KJV. Well these pictures sure are bad buts thats what I get for procrastinating till the last seccond and now that the day is shorter I missed my outdoor lighting window and had to take indoors. I think tomorrow I'll retake pics and put them on my flickr page and put a link here.
About this creation
A link to David's entry

Mighty Empire: Build us a creation from Roman times. A battle, a house, a boat, whatever you want. Of course, the more historically accurate the better.
_________________________________________________________________________________________

13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.

21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

23 And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist For what it's worth, you get my vote. Excellent use of colour and texture to evoke classic Roman vibes, and a well composed scene.
Thanks honestly though it's not my best work I was feeling good about this one. I thought I actually put in Roman architecture and details but I guess it was my first MO. Wish I could haveve gone farther. Best of luck to you David!

I like the subject matter and the detailing on the walls - didn't get you through this time but well done anyway and better luck next year!

Hmm, if I had a vote it would have been cast for this entry in a heartbeat. I like the architectural detail of this entry better than the raw size of your opponent's, but I guess not everyone sees it the same way. Better luck next time.

This is not an easy vote and I'm very indecisive. Your creations does have an overall nice shape, but the techniques used are a bit simple. My vote goes to your opponent, but it was very close.

I like that you pulled your build from a Bible reference, which gives it a focus and direction. It's quite simple but clean nice building. However, the scope and ambition of your opponent won through. Sorry, you didn't get my vote this time.

Really nice entry. This one should be a close one, while David's was so much bigger and impressive in that regards, I think yours shows more detail and technique. Good luck!
