About this creation
'tis a sad day to be an estranged king. Earlier today, I was attacked by a highwayman. I managed to escape with my knife, but my arm is gone. I found that begging, the most base of "professions", would bring in a little food.

I found earlier today that the "fountain" - insofar as much as a pitiful thing like THAT could be called a fountain - is a bad place to leave one's urine, and is frowned on, particularly by people with blades. I'll leave it in the corner for now. A drunk teetered around near me with a barrel on his head and some green beast passed me by.
Suddenly, I heard a scurrying sound and noticed a rat beneath me. My stomach growled, and I pondered killing it, but it ran away before I could put down my cup.

I heard a commotion from inside the bar.

It sounded like there was a fight going on. I had been trained as a child to hear when a knife was drawn, for it was essential that I be able to sense the presence of assassins before they could kill me. There were two men, and one sounded worried. Listening, I heard a third figure moving around. It sounded like he was groping around for something while keeping his eyes on the people fighting.

Nothing else interesting happened until nightfall.

The hatch of the window on the bar opened up and a man peeked out. "Hey, you," he said. "You want to move up in the world?"
Desperate, I replied "of course. What is it you want?"
"Simple," he said, "just join our little band of thieves."
"Alright," I said, knowing that even if I had to swallow my noble pride, it was worth it. "I do have a question - where am I?"
"Why, this is the city of "Elpis," and with that he handed me a slip of paper. My eyes flicked over it and I noticed that it was covered with a series of names and locations.
"Don't lose this - if anyone finds it, we will know and neither they nor you will see the light of day again. This is the list of people in the area from whom you might receive orders and to whom you should give information...
I almost forgot - what's your name?"
"Jo'Ran Karrhe," I said.
"Noted. You'll hear from us again quite soon."

While talking to him, I spied a crate full of paper and a pen.

As he closed the window, I heard a low, crackly sound. Turning, I saw a cart driven by a skeletal being. Coming closer, I noticed the load of food within and heard a clink of coins.
"You are...interesting, mortal. Your aura is intense and irregular. I can see that we will meet again, although when I cannot say."
Cart:

I made a play feature without making the roof easily removable.

Build notes:
I'm not particularly proud of the bar, and everything in the scene has been photographed, so I didn't see a reason to photograph the entire thing.

The cart is my second medieval cart, and there's definitely room for improvement. That said, I really like the connecting chain technique I used and I also like the front.

Quoting Freeling . Nice. I liked the Green character (Not quite sure what he is though.. Maybe he's sick? :P) And the skeleton being was quite nice. And like deus said, it does need to be scaled up, "To give it a feeling of existing."
I was told that there are tons of races on LoM (but not Hobbits), so he's a plant person. Yeah. And yeah, I'd like to have done more with this, but I more or less ran out of ground. Sadly (and embarrassingly, I ran out of 1x2 light stone grey bricks here, which surprised me.

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus Scaling things up could help, if possible. Give the whole thing a feeling of existing. Some empty space and such, you know?
I've used up just about all my plates in that color and most of my round plates in the right colors with that.

Nice build and neat story, though the skeleton and bar fight seem a little random. The bar's roof could use some work, but I like really that cart. (And I disagree--a shot of the whole build would be nice. :P)
