Tanks of the First World War have always excited me.
So the lego creation of "Misterzumbi" inspired me to do also a french Renault FT-17. The color scheme was not easy and I've decided to do it in Tan and dark bluish Gray. But if i find the right bricks i'll do one in brown, black and dark green. I have read a lot about the Renault FT-17 and and looked at a lot of real photos so I think the colors that i have used are OK.
Thank you for commenting on my fighter-jets. I do not know particularly much about tanks, but I've checked google images of this, and it looks just fantastic. The little "tin can" probably havenīt been nice to sit in, but luckily it's history. It is just filled with fine detail and the minifigs with gas-mask puts the icing on the cake.

Excellent work! But its hard to find the correct colors with lego. Did you find any colored pictures of the original?
All the photos i have seen of this Tank are in black and white but in some tank Books i find some drawings of different Camouflages of the renault FT17. Most are in tan Brown and Olive green and some in black, dark green and Brown.
In the plastic Modell builder Szene you finde some Modells with different Color scheme.
I love it and I think it's one of your best creations yet. Why? All the detail! The little spring that keeps tension on the top track rollers (a 1 by 6 plate in this case) and the suspension design with lots of little wheels. The turret design is special also, a new one I've never seen before, and while it may not be functional it looks great. The hull is good too, with the proper shaping on the front and the ditch-crossing tail in the back. A really great little tank!
