Militarized LAAT
I decided to build another militarized Star Wars vehicle. One of the most iconic vehicles of the clone wars, the LAAT. I know it is not 100% accurate, but part of the reason for that is because I wanted it to still have a "modern military vibe". I think it turned out rather well. Hope you guys like it!
About this creation
Prepare for Takeoff

The troops are ready to fly into battle!

Cockpits Open

The pilots of the LAAT must pass numerous flight tests with a D or better in order to qualify for the position.

Top

The top section of the fuselage is home to many of the cooling vents and necessary sensor systems.

Backside

The backside of the LAAT. Here you can see the thruster engines, they use 100% diesel. It's great for the environment!

Hatch Open

There is a hatch on the rear end of the vehicle for easier loading of supplies. Seriously, it's a lot easier.

Front

Observe the front, if you dare!

Side

Beyond the Brick:
I finally posted it, it took me long enough. I think I started this build at the end of July. Personally, I think it came out alright. Some areas are a bit blocky, but overall it's not too shabby. I am currently in the middle of another project, so hopefully I don't take two months to post that.

I WILL BE AT BRICKCON THIS SATURDAY (TOMORROW, 10.5). I HOPE I CAN MEET SOME OF YOU GUYS!

God Bless~

Wow, that is great. Except for the Republic Insignia, it looks like an Empire drop ship. Very cool, the color scheme looks great.

That's just epic! I find this really amazing, because there's one thing I can't build: Vehicles. Yep, vehicles and creatures… So that's why I love this so much. Keep brickin'!

Quoting micah burgin unless it's VTOL, that will never take off... I'd add some longer wings. BUT I LOVE IT!
Yes, like I've said before, it is similar to a VTOL in how it takes off. Thanks for the comment!

Quoting lone wolf But how does this thing even take off? It looks like a block with stubby wings on it. No disrespect, but i'm confused.
Well, there are some propulsion engines underneath that help it take off like a VTOL, and the thruster engines on the wings help it go forward.

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! Very awesome build! I think the wings are a bit short and stubby and should be done SNOT or with tiles on them. Otherwise, this is a great looking ship!
I agree, I should've spent a bit more time on the wings. They kind of bug me now :1

Quoting Tim C As far as accuracy is concerned, it's not a prerequisite when your making your own version of an existing design, but for the record, I already thought it looked like the LAAT before I saw that it was your objective.
At least I met my goal :) Thanks for the comment!

Really digging the color change, i hate the white. But how does this thing even take off? It looks like a block with stubby wings on it. Does it have like a magical floating carpet under it? No disrespect, but i'm confused.

Love it, Mister. I always have a soft spot for militaristic sci fi builds. I like the bit of playability that you added in there, and as far as accuracy is concerned, it's not a prerequisite when your making your own version of an existing design, but for the record, I already thought it looked like the LAAT before I saw that it was your objective. Great work.

Looks great! I hope it still has repulserlifts, though, otherwise it's dropping to the ground as fast as the brick it's shaped like!

Quoting JS Can Nice work, but the wings look a bit short to me for such a large/bulky aircraft.
I agree. I noticed the short wings after I was done taking pictures. Thanks for the comment.

This is awesome! Looks very good. The wings look a little short, though; not in accuracy to the Star Wars version, but just in general. But other than that, nice MOC!
