MocOlympics Round 2: Ben Merrill vs Luc Johannesen - Primary Paints
Elementum These days there are boat-loads of LEGO colors, but a decade ago the pallet was rather sparse. Create an entry using only the fundamental colors red, yellow, blue, black, and white. It can be any creation/genre you wish but it must ONLY contain those colors.

Beginning with Imperial Shuttle White, we here at Primary Paints blend our powerful patented pigments of Castle Yellow, Space Blue, Fire Engine Red and Orthanc Black to tint and shade the perfect paint for your project. From Light Bley to Medium Azure, Dark Blue to Reddish Brown, there isn't a color we can't match. Premixed paints in the classic colors and supplies such as ladders and rollers are also available for purchase.
Now let's take a look at the details of this fabulous structure...

The front of the building hinges open:

It opens full for excellent playability:

Primaries are tough to use because they make such an absolute statement. You managed to keep them subject to your vision masterfully. The Mondrian floor looks straight out of the 60s and the details top it off. Congrats!

Great idea and well built. The floor really finishes this off brilliantly but I like the details throughout. Well done on advancing!

Quoting David Alexander Smith I love the paint shop idea, a really witty take on your category. The floor is stellar too. You've got my vote!
I'm glad you like the floor. It was the final detail that I put into place, and it really transformed the piece. Thank you for your comments and your vote.

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist This is the toughest match to judge yet. Excellent work, I think you've earned my vote with the chaotic yet appealing colour scheme and the fun take on the category.
Thank you for your comments and your vote.

Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy This really reminds me of the old days of LEGO, Ben. With my lack of parts in fundamental colors, I probably couldn't build something like your creation. Though I like what you did, my vote goes to your opponent due to his original take on the category. Nevertheless, good luck with the other judges.
With the limited color palette, I was indeed going for a classic town feel. Thank you for your comments and for judging the MocOlympics this year.

What can be more elemental, more basic than paint! This is a great take on the category... this will be a close one! Good luck! :)

While in terms of build quality this is really fantastic, your opponent had one of my favorite entries for the round in terms of originality and style. This one might be really close. Good luck.
