Welcome friends, to the round 2 entry of Zach "gothambygaslight" L.!!!!!
About this creation
Hello, hello, and welcome to Florumm! Oops. Anyway, I am glad to announce my Round 2 moc's! The catagory:
This Means War: What if LEGO rescinded their policy against modern warfare? Build a set (or a line of sets, if you dare) for LEGO's inaugural military theme.
My esteemed opponet: David the Fire Ninja Jedi
And the link to the M.O.
Now, ON TO THE MOC'S!!!!!!!

MH-6 Little Bird Attack
Set Details: "Capture the terrorist with the new LEGO MH-6 Little bird! This bad guy don't stand a chance!" Cheesy opener huh? Anyway. This is the MH-6 little bird. It is mainly used to pick up and drop off soldiers. I would estimate this sets price to be about $10.95.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I am just going to shut up.

The figs. From left to right. Pilot, Marine, Terrorist. Now onto the next MOC.

Humvee Chase
Set Details: "Take on the terrorist with the all new LEGO humvee! With the humvee on your side you can't lose!" Still cheesy. Anyhoo. The humvee. If you need to be told what this is, you are some kind of sad loser. Just kidding :D I would estimate this at $20, $25 bucks. Once again you are on your own.

The minifigures. Again, from left to right. U.S. spec ops trooper, terrorist.

UH-60 Blackhawk
Set details: "The terrorists are getting away! Stop them with the all new LEGO UH-60 Blackhawk!" This is my favorite, wait a moment! No comments about the cheesiness of the details? Huh. Whatever. Anyway. This is my favorite of them all. I used to live by an army base and these things flew over all of the time. So I had to make one. Now the price estimate. I'd say, $50, $60 dollars. Now to let the pictures do the talking...

I decided to make a car for the terrorists to escape in. It seems like something LEGO would do, make a cruddy truck and increase the price by ten bucks. Meh.

Now... THE BLACKHAWK!!

The figs. From right to left. Terrorist(x2), blackhawk pilot, U.S. spec ops trooper, Navy S.E.A.L.

All of them together! I needed stands for the heliocopters.
Excuses: Yes, I KNOW the pictures are bad!! I am getting a cold and didn't feel like re-taking them. Now on to some fun! Just so you know, THEY ARE SWOOSHABLE!!!! I also removed the following picture's due to the fact that they were not befitting to the catagory.

Until we next meet.

~Zach

Whoa, these are some pretty epic builds here! I really like the nice sleek look of the BlackHawk, as well as the real meaty appearance of the Humvee; overall a really nice job, Zach! Excellent! 5/5! :-)

Quoting Moriah Quint Gothamgasybylight! You know how you said you weren't going trick-or-treating this year, and you were going to do the other thing? Well, that's were I GO! But I'm not going this year.
Cool! Youth group rules.

My favorite part is the Blackhawk. You may want to note that LEGO probably wouldn't use brickarms in their sets. Nice job!

Nice models for what is actually a really tough category - trying to balance out the Official Lego set style and look with military detail (because lets face it, military builders love details!) is not easy. Good builds and unlucky on not advancing.

Shoot. To bad you didn't make it to R. 3. I really liked your entry. Oh well, Go dominate the MIT, if there is one! Great work man!

A word of comfort: This was a tough decision for me, Zach, but my vote goes to your opponent. I think your Blackhawk is a more interesting build than David's 488 Fighter, but in its entirety, his creations match the 'official set' character better than your creations. Great work nevertheless and good luck next time.

A nice selection of vehicles all built fairly closely to Lego specifications. Plenty of play value in there. I question if you are making a new range of vehicles going for two copters, but hey they are two distinct and pretty cool copters. However saying a this I do think your opponent presented slightly better build skills and for that reason I'm giving him my vote.

I especially like the blackhawk, definitely the flagship set here. The other three are comparatively simple, and seem to be more basic brick based than most modern LEGO sets. I think David better captured the LEGO aesthetic here, and hence he has my vote. Still, it was close! Best of luck with the other judges.

Quoting Halhi 141 While I liked David's entry better, this is really good. I think that yours look more like sets than his, not to mention that the prices are much more accurate. Not as much detail/technique as David's, but still a fantastic entry.
Thanks! I tried to keep lower on the detail and add terrorists to fight. It seems like something LEGO would do.

Your sets are underpriced. If you buy a Blackhawk set, it will cost at least $150.

Wow, Zach, this is amazing! I like the second set the most, but the final helicopter is stunning! Well done and fantastic job to say the least! You are giving David a run for his money! Competition is stiff!
