MO-R2: Legopard vs Lando L. Jackson
Castle Neuschwanstein
About this creation
Second entry for the MocOlympics against Lando L. Jackson.

Category: Legopard vs Lando L. Jackson
Landmark
Build a landmark that is famous for your city, state or land. No size restrictions, you can build it in micro, minifig or miniland size. A photo or a link to a picture of the original landmark is required.

There are many nice landmarks in germany, but most of them (like the Bundestag or Brandenburger Tor) are very odd, because of their symmetry. So I have chosen the famous Castle Neuschwanstein.( Wikipedia)

Lack of time and bricks made me to build this as the first Architecture-Style model.
Never the less i tried to capture as much details as possible in this scale.

I experimented with several tree designs and different color schemes. But my first try was a bit to colorful and confusing.

I hope you like it.

Castle Neuschwanstein

Stay crætive!

It's a shame you not having an opponent but well done on advancing as this is a great build. Good part use throughout and neat, controlled building given the scale. I like the colour use and the wigs look great as Autumn trees. Nice work!

Well, I was hoping someone would build this beautiful castle, Legopard. I was only hoping that it was me;) This is my number one dream vacation spot from a sightseeing standpoint and I knew what I was looking at as soon as I saw your rendition. I'm impressed at how you were able to achieve such accuracy at such a small scale. Stunning.

I remember being stunned at the real version of this, and this one falls only just short of that ;) Wonderful detailing throughout! What really stands out is your masterful handling of all the angles.

This is absolutely fantastic. Not only is it a great micro scale, but recognizable. Excellent rendition. Love the details of the famous castle like the long curved road up and the red brick front entrance. I was there just this past summer. Quite the picturesque place. :) -LB Senior

Quoting Tom Remy Es ist Wunderbar! And that's all I can say in Deutsch... Well... Maybe I can try? Ich wünsche dir(?) gutes/guten Glück!
Merci. Your German is way better than my France. (I never learned it :P) In German it's not "good Luck". We say "much Luck" -> viel Glück. Your sentence should sound like: Ich wünsche dir(correct!) viel Glück! Thank you very much for this very amusing comment, Tom. :)

I love that rockwork! Now, the hair idea is great, but here, I do feel that they are a bit too colorful to really work, at least for me. But even so, this is, overall, your signature style of greatness :-)

Wonderful Legopard, fantastic amount of detail all around! By the way, the title is wrong. It is MO R2, not 1. ;) I would fix that before submitting to the group.
